I really liked this promo, I love the "computer emergency" bit, because it takes one back to the early days of the show. Most of the promos focus on super-spy stuff, I think it is nice to see the computer-geek side of thinks get a little more attention.
Now, if they de-intersect Morgan early on I am in heaven.
It ran in Sunday Night Football also. It's a joint Chuck/Grimm promo. There is a shot of Chuck and Casey dressed as airline pilots and Sarah as a stewardess. Kinda "Pan Am". I have no idea where that fits into the premiere. Chuck looks really handsome/hot in that uniform.
I was considering that too Jim. If Casey and Chuck are the pilots how are they going to fly the plane? Or are they just piggybacking and not really flying the plane? Also, Casey should definitely have to pose as a male stewardess :)
People up in arms about a 1/2 second image. I have no idea if either Chuck or Casey are flying the plane or even getting on a plane. They are just wearing uniforms and walking.
One of these days someone will have to teach me how to get a promo from my DVR to my computer so I can post these. Apparently, know one else has put it up yet.
It is easy... first, you just need a video card where you can plug in your DVR/TV whatevs. Next, you just need to transfer the data over. Then, you convert it to a usable format. Next, you edit the portion out that you want to use. Finally, you upload it to YouTube.
@MediaSavant not sure if you are a Mac or Tivo user but I have a program called iTivo which will connect over your wireless network to the Tivo and allows you to transfer shows from your DVR pretty easily. Not sure what the format/editing process is like afterward though as I haven't tried to cut and edit something like a promo out. I've only used it to transfer episodes I want to keep for a while off my Tivo to make room on the HD.
I have a Cablevision HD DVR that is manufactured by Scientific Atlanta and a HP laptop purchased this year. I've looked this "video card" stuff up and most of it is confusing.
WOW 3 promos already they must really love chuck's final season
ReplyDeleteI just saw a 4th promo in SNL. Very short, but with different shots than the others.

Did anyone record the new SNL promo?

ReplyDeleteI want to see airline pilot Chuck!
ReplyDeleteYeah, airline pilot Chuck is cool. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat about stewardess Sarah? For that matter, since Sarah is an actual pilot, shouldn't Casey be the stewardess?

ReplyDeleteThis show is so sexist.

ReplyDeleteSEXISM!!!!! THESE WRITERS ARE RAPISTS!
ReplyDeleteI just want to see Casey in a 1960's Pan Am style stewardess uniform. Is that so wrong?
ReplyDeleteJim
Probably... since it is 2011.

ReplyDeleteMediaSavant, there is a fairly idiot (no offense) proof solution in this little device:

The above shortcut is a link to Google product search for the item in question.
Jim
Thanks, Jim.
