Tell us what your perfect ending for CHUCK, the series, would be. Chuck and Sarah have a baby? Everyone dies? Casey turns evil and locks them all up? The team skydives to their death? WHAT?! TELL IT!
Anonymous posting without any need to do anything is open. Though, signing your comments would be nice so we can mock... I mean praise your ideas!
CHUCK SEASON 5 starts 28 October, 2011.
Shaw returns and finish the job Once and for all :)....also Eve not dead....Shaw learns that and go rescue her :P hahahahah and they live happily ever after.... :)
ReplyDeleteFour words: Jeff Barnes, Puppet Master
ReplyDeleteJim
There's an epilogue where we flash and undetermined amount of years into the future where The Bartowskis have a relatively normal life. They have a son--curly brown hair, blue eyes. Somehow said child gets on Chuck's computer where there is an Intersect update. The boy presses "Accept," and downloads the Intersect. He falls backwards in the same manner as his dad. Chuck and Sarah find him later, realizing what happened, Chuck utters "Oh, boy..."
ReplyDeleteFin.
I don't have anything specific, and I trust the writers for now, but something similar to "Chuck Versus the Other Guy" would be great. I would have been very satisfied with that ending had Season 3 not been extended, and the show had been cancelled.
ReplyDeleteClose all of the important storylines (it's okay to have some open-endedness), and end on a happy, maybe even humorous, note.
I spit on Other Guy.
ReplyDeleteI know they don't care what we're saying but I imagine that Chuck gets shot like his father and same music in backround and same scene like his father's shot he dreams his father's death he thinks he'll die... I imagine long hospital scenes with chuck flashbacks...
ReplyDeleteFinally I think chuck must die...So It would be unforgettable...
I hope in the end we can see chuck and sarah have babies, eat together at the table like family commercials then suddenly General calls tell them about a new mission and Casey comes and takes charah with his Crown Vic leaving Morgan with the kids... That's my dreaming senario
ReplyDeletenena
I don't know. I always think that if I can come up with it, it's not very good.
ReplyDeleteI like how Six Feet Under, The O.C. and Friday Night Lights ended. They all concluded their key storylines and gave glimpses of where the characters were headed. No cliffhangers.
I second Magnus motion on spitting on Other Guy !
ReplyDeleteSarah telling Chuck that she's pregnant! I'm a sucker for happy endings.
ReplyDeleteI too spit on Other Guy. The more you watch it the worse it gets. Routh at his plywoody best/worst. More plot holes in that episode than swiss cheese.
ReplyDeleteBut for me I'm a sucker for an OC type happy ending where we see them 5 or 10 years down the road. A couple of kids and learn that Chuck and Sarah's daughter is "special" too. Chuck is working on a peaceful version of the Intersect 5.0 with Ellie at the home from The Suburbs. Sarah is managing the company and a consultant to the CIA. So many possibilities.
Sarah pregnant? Sarah already has secret daughter don’t you know.
ReplyDeleteOMG! How did you guys find out about Sarah's secret daughter?!
ReplyDeleteI'm all for happy endings, but no intersected kids please.
ReplyDeleteJim
I always said that I wanted an Alias finale, but I won't place my 100 Costa Gravan pesos on it...
ReplyDeleteThen Jeff Barnes, Puppet Master would be good... well, not much worse than the Morgansect!
I'm a sucker for happy endings too so I want Sarah telling Chuck she's pregnant.
ReplyDeleteSarah's secret daughter has the intersect.
Sarah's secret daughter created the Intersect. Stephen Bartowski was just a fraud.
ReplyDeleteJim
The thing that bothers me about asking for an "Alias finale" or an "O.C. finale" is that we're just asking for them to rip off and duplicate another show's ending. They should come up with something different or put some totally new spin on it that doesn't have people saying they just imitated another show.
ReplyDeleteAs if they can pull off anything original at this point.
ReplyDeleteYvonne Strahovski dives in a pool to save Chuck and all her clothes come off!!
ReplyDeleteYvonne Strahovski isn't a character on the show, nutjob.
ReplyDeleteHere's something totally original: The whole story has been in the imagination of an autistic child. I'm picturing a snow globe involved somehow. Oh, and William Daniels will play "the baby".
ReplyDeleteJim
Everything is ripped off something else on Tv. Who cares as long as it's done good and has own spin.
ReplyDeletePeople mocking Sarah having a secret baby, it could happen.
Actually, I think the way Six Feet Under did it was pretty unique and very appropriate to what the show was about.
ReplyDeleteIn case people didn't see it, they flashed forward to the moment when each character died. So, you didn't see much about their lives, but you got a sense of how long they would live and what the cause of death would be.
It was totally appropriate for what the show was about.
It sounds morbid, but it was very touching.
@MediaSavant Chuck ripped of 13221321 shows by now, even the original concept with the regular guy protected by the government is a rip off Jake 2.0 so being original was never one of Chuck's strong suits ;)
ReplyDeleteAs for the ending i would like Morgan to get killed or seriously injured, just for the fun of it !
Oh and Sarah telling Chuck she`s pregnant with Morgan's baby, that would be cool too =))
sarah's evil twin sister finds out sarah is rich, kills sarah and takes over her place as chuck's wife. Jeff and Lester assume their love for each other and get married, devon and ellie's second daughter, carrie gets angry because she's bullied at school and destroys burbank, and the show ends up with the sarah's evil twin sister and chuck's son, chuck Jr, the only survivor of carrie's rage, having his first flash.
ReplyDeleteAnytime someone says "everything is" you can just ignore that comment. The only absolute is that absolutes are guaranteed to not be accurate.
ReplyDeleteAnd SIX FEET UNDER definitely had a unique ending.
Oh and Sarah having a secret baby is idiotic.
Why Magnus ?:( wouldn't be nice for Chuck to find out about Sarah's offspring from her mother ? i think that could be awesome ! not as awesome as Morgan plunking Sarah but in the same area :))
ReplyDeleteMorgan as the Intersect is a 10,000 times better idea.
ReplyDeleteYou don't know quality drama Magnus :-< just think about it, the baby could be Bryce`s and Chuck being ok with everything Sarah does would decide to keep the baby and raise it as his own !
ReplyDeleteThat way they can avoid the pregnancy and Chuck&Sarah can still have a baby :))
You don't know quality, period.
ReplyDeleteI'd prefer a sweet ending without too much whiny drama or babies. Maybe something like:
ReplyDeleteWe hear Beckman talking to someone in her office, something to the tune of "I trust you'll take it from here. Congratulations, General." We see her leave her office and find Casey sitting at her desk, with a picture of his daughter and Morgan off to the side, and some boxes in the background. There's some intel on the desk (presumably left by Beckman) about the Bartowskis. Casey smirks, then burns it. Then, he leans back and lights a cigar from the flames, looking very pleased with himself.
The end!
This show already lost 4 years not exploiting the Morgan | Sarah chemistry ! hope they are going to at least use that in the last season
ReplyDeleteJosh | Yvonne have so much chemistry on | off screen and unlike Yvonne | Zac they have physical chemistry too so that can solve the problem with the unconvincing kisses and intimate scenes between Chuck and Sarah
A satisfying ending for me would be Sarah and Morgan starting a relationship while Chuck stars a new one with one of his former girls Jill or Hannah
Zachary Levi was more entertaining playing a couple with Jordana or Kristin then he ever was with Yvonne
And i am sure Yvonne could be better forming a on screen couple with Joshua Gomez
Chuck and Sarah get married and as many of the best guest villains that can be afforded show up uninvited and plot their mischief -- because, well, that's what you do with TV show marriages. Sarah throws the wedding bouquet in the air and as Alex (Casey's daughter) is about to snag it, Casey shoots it away with a blast of compressed air and Heather Chandler (Nicole Ritchie) catches it instead.
ReplyDeleteThe twist is in the closing shot. As Chuck and Sarah leave the reception in their limo, they lean in for a kiss. The camera slowly zooms in on their lips. Energy crackles between them as they meet and ZAP! We the audience get FLASHed as all the key moments from the series quickly rush past our eyes. WE become the Intersect!
(Note: If this scenario happens, be careful: you might just fall backward as you "reboot." ;-)
BONUS: For the DVD release, add in a post-credits scene of Jeffster trying to huff an onscreen Get-Glue sticker they win for watching the series finale!
@Annoymous...that is simply not true about Zach and Yvonne. Firstly if you look at any promotional stills for an episode you can see that the body language and on screen chemistry is fine, it is awesome. It is as Magnus would say...Fedak not putting those shots into the episode. Not just the kissing, but the hugging or the way she or he holds one another. It is like the director or show runner has no clue how to capture the right moments, like the photographer obviously does. I mean look at cliffhanger stills and tell me they have no physical chemistry. Episodes sometimes do not reflect the talents of the writer, actors, crew, etc....it is just the showrunners fault.
ReplyDeleteLOL! Zac and Yvonne don't have on-screen chemistry? That's the kind of BS over-opinionated nutjobs say just to seem edgy.
ReplyDeleteThose two have chemistry oozing all over the place, whether it be as characters or as people. And if anyone is suggesting the actors don't like each other, that is total lunacy. They may not be as close as Zac and Josh are, or Josh and Yvonne are or... you know what? As close as Josh is with EVERYONE! But they are friends who enjoy working together very much. And you can take that to the bank.
If you read a geek furious post by John...commentating on Fringe, the same writer that wrote the last lack lucksture episode of Fringe wrote the all time awesome, great, supreme, beautiful, touching...Lost episode Walkabout. It is sometimes just the way it is, as I said before it is nothing to do with the talent in front or behind the camera it is down to the show runner getting something wrong. As I said how the photographer can catch these wonderful moments the actors put out there but not the show runner is strange and odd and I do not understand it. Also it is not just the Zach and Yvonne (Chuck and Sarah) moments either, I mean if they left the scene where Morgan saved Casey and Mama B that would have been great foreshadowing to him uploading the intersect as well as a great payoff to the earlier scene in the hospital when Awesome punched the CIA agent instead of Morgan...it showed that deep down when it matters he does have courage and what it takes to throw a punch. Why and how Fedak did not put that in instead of some of the other stuff just does not make sense...sometimes they miss the beats or the something that makes an episode more meaningful. Anyhoo...annonymous you are flat out wrong! LOL.
ReplyDeleteMmmhmmm... it comes down to the showrunner. Never forget that. Chris Fedak is the major creative force on that show. If you have a problem with something, he deserves the blame. Attacking your new least favorite writer or excusing your new favorite writer is cool and all for the kiddies, but in reality, they serve the vision of essentially one and a half men (Josh Schwartz too but he isn't the head writer).
ReplyDeleteAnd now that I have said that... all credit for the things you love about the show also should go to Fedak. It doesn't happen without his go-ahead. Love it or hate it, Chris Fedak (and Josh Schwartz to a lesser extent) made it happen.
Chuck and Sarah on the beach at sunset, (their adventure started at sunrise - more or less)
ReplyDeletewith or without
Sarah with her hand on her belly looks at Chuck and says, "Remember when I asked you to trust me?" - Fade to black.
CM
CM, I like it except that dialogue. That sucks hardcore.
ReplyDeleteBut everything else I dig.
Morgan dies because I just can't deal with his character anymore.
ReplyDeleteEveryone is sad but hey, life goes on !
Lester finds love, preferably with a woman played by...me.
J.
lou jill and hannah come back with chuck's illegitimate children. epic.
ReplyDeleteGM15
Re: your comment about the dialogue in CM's suggestion- I feel like there is absolutely no way to not write cheesy dialogue for last 10 minutes or so of any series finale. On that note I usually give the last 10 minutes of any show kind of break because I feel like it's the one time when can be pretty cheesy or stereotypical and get away with it, so I'd probably be ok with a happy ending/flash forward deal
ReplyDeleteI think you can go cheesy, dark or weird (see for example Newhart or St. Elsewhere for the last). There's no way they're going dark, and I don't really want weird, so bring on the cheese.
ReplyDeleteJim
Yvonne and Josh do have a lot chemistry...lol. Not on screen boyfriend/girlfriend chemistry but great comedic chemistry. I laughed for like an hour watching and re-watching that dvd extra with Yvonne and Josh and how she was f'ing and getting while lauging aggitated with Josh over spying on her on the toilet and in the shower...hehehe. Great times.
ReplyDeleteI don't recall any cheesy dialogue in the the last 10 minutes of Friday Night Lights.
ReplyDeleteFor Chuck, sometimes it's better to not do any dialogue at all, such as the proposal scene in the hospital.
Writers shouldn't write everyone's ending thougts!!! But I am expecting unexpectable end for chuck ... Secret baby or baby idea is so ordinary!! I dissapointed for season 4 ending.
ReplyDeletePlease writers do an amazing endings that nobody thougt
Oh, if someone says something creepy or stalkerish or whatever and I don't delete it or attack the SOB for it, or if someone curses and I miss it, let me know.
ReplyDeleteI am not reading every comment lately and not moderating any of them.
THANKS!
Now when it comes to CM's comment. How about instead of Sarah saying "remember when I asked you to trust me", Chuck was the one saying "Trust me".
ReplyDeleteOR for me, have Sarah die in labor and chuck makes an intersect for the baby, and then he kills himself. So now the intersected baby is given to Casey.
Wow... these are really bad ideas, Cristal.
ReplyDeleteHow about Chuck realizes that he actually died in episode 1 of season 1 and that the last 5 years have been his personal version of purgatory?
ReplyDeleteI think I'm ripping off Lost, but I couldn't be bothered to watch past season 1 of that.
Jim
Jim, it is obvious you didn't watch LOST past season 1. :)
ReplyDeleteooh some passive aggresiveness mixed with creepy. nut job alert!
ReplyDeleteUnless you have been on set and see everything then you cannot comment on what actors do for a joke on set and by the way....I have been on set and have seen them all have fun. Once Zach was giving a piggy back to all the girls....ooohhhhh what does that mean??? it means he gave a piggy back nutjob anonymous!
ReplyDelete*cough* lostgeeks *cough*
ReplyDeleteJim
My "creep alert" is going off. We are venturing into the topic of off-screen relationships.
ReplyDeleteWe are venturing into the topic of psychotic delusion. Kind of makes you long for the days (last week?) when Magnus had to approve comments.
ReplyDeleteJim
Perfect Chuck Ending (From my point of view)
ReplyDelete- Sarah telling Chuck that she`s pregnant
- Chuck & Sarah leaving the spy world to start a fresh new life together, they tried that already two times in season3 and now that Chuck is no longer the intersect and Sarah has opened up to be a more normal person i think it's appropriate for them to quit the spy life and raise their kids
- Casey and Gertrude Verbanski doing a merger between Carmichael`s & Verbanski industries, that way Casey can still be the badass spy and have a woman to share that with
- Jeffster go on world tour with Big Mike as their manager
- Ellie & Awesome start their own medical clinic
- to add a little drama to the ending Kill Morgan ! :)
Thanks for the creeper alerts.
ReplyDeleteSome of you need professional help.
No problem, Magnus. We know you've been busy watching new Chuck and stuff. :-)
ReplyDeleteFinal scene of the final episode: Chuck and Sarah are in a rowboat. Sarah tells Chuck she's pregnant, and Chuck is clearly overjoyed. Cue to an alien flying out of the sunset to blow them to little bits.
ReplyDeleteFarscape? Anyone? ... Is this thing on?
Jim
Micheal C Hall comes in as the bad guy and kills Morgan and Chuck and Micheal fight but just as Micheal goes to shoot Chuck, Sarah gets in the way and dies in Chucks arms and then Chuck gets all piss off and then beats the crap out of Micheal. LOL like Chuck could ever get Micheal C Hall from Dexter.
ReplyDeleteOk this is my real idea since Chuck I am guessing is gets the intersect during some part this season I think the episode after Morgan loses it and when he does he get killed in a cool way and says something that should sound not funny in the moment but does and then Chuck goes and try and get the guy that did it. Then just as he opens the door to where the bad guy that killed Morgan he see Bryce and Shaw and that would be a cool ending and if they get the money for it a great way to open for a movie.
OMG, I can't believe I just read half of what I read. Dear Lord, people.
ReplyDeleteI don't like the idea of Sarah's pregnancy it's predictable! You guys remember the Morgan's dream at the beginning of 3.15 (Role Models)? I think the ending is a history that Morgan tells Chuck to comfort him of the break-up with Jill!
ReplyDeleteOh that's evil!
Amanda(Brazil!)
I dig Jeff Barnes puppetmaster. Hahaha.
ReplyDeleteOk ok, but seriously? I would appreciate anything that remained true to the nature of the show, that didn't leave any cliffhangers and that wasn't cheesy. Nothing too happy-go-lucky but no deaths of any regular cast member. And a great choice of music, so that the last moments had no dialogue.
I didn't explain! For those who doesn't understand the history is about all we saw since 1.01
ReplyDeleteAmanda(Again!)
The ending should be something different. No happy couple expecting a baby.
ReplyDeleteI like the idea that Bryce shows up professes his love and Chuck and Bryce run off togther! AFTER having found out that Sarah and Casey were undercover the whole time and have been in a torrid affair for years, including bringing Bryce down and retriving the intersect. The Angel of death + The Giant Blonde She-Male--FTW
Marco Polo
I've been thinking about what the ultimate endgame of Chuck's story might be and my mind keeps going to a big job like head of the CIA--once Team B clears out all the conspiracies--or Homeland Security. Something like that.
ReplyDeleteA deskjob like that could have him capable of raising a family while still being involved in espionage.
In the real world, of course, those jobs go to political people, but Chuck has never reflected the real world.
"A deskjob like that could have him capable of raising a family while still being involved in espionage."
ReplyDeleteWhat about Sarah? I can't really picture her as the happy homemaker.
Jim
"What about Sarah? I can't really picture her as the happy homemaker."
ReplyDeleteI wasn't really thinking about her. Someone else can fill in her future. I'm kinda Chuck-centric given that's the name of the show.
I can´t really envision Chuck´s future without Sarah´s future being very much tied to it. So I hope they think of something great for them together.
ReplyDeleteI would actually like a callback to the pilot by seeing Chuck´s birthday. If they move forward to the 2012 one, it would also take place 5 years after the one in the pilot. This would be a nice way to tie Chuck´s five year plan into that.
And he was really uncomfortable on his 2007 birthday. It would be nice to see him with all the people he loves and Ellie wouldn´t need to invite live real women for him. :)
I have a REAL question.
ReplyDeleteWhat does the actual Season 4 DVD's cover art look like? I see two different designs online: one with Chuck and Sarah in fighting poses and another with Chuck, Sarah, Casey, and Morgan all mismatched and uncoordinated.
Lemme know.
I just want to interrupt this thread to say the clip of 501 that they showed on Leno was pretty sexy and funny.
ReplyDeleteWhat did they show?
ReplyDeleteYep... great clip.
ReplyDeleteHey, Magnus, do YOU have any ideas for the ending? And by that I do not mean "tell us what you know", but really what you'd wish for the final scenes.
ReplyDeleteI want the past 5 years of Chuck's life to have been a dream.
ReplyDeleteI want the show to end with Chuck waking up from a nap right before his birthday party in season 1. We see Chuck at the party like we did in the pilot. We see him get the email from Bryce like we did before. And we end by fading to black just as he presses the enter button after answering the Zork riddle.
I think Chuck should die in the end like his father
ReplyDeleteDecker and CIA find another nerd like Chuck to download the intersect.
They send a spy girl like sarah to get the information.
Decker said It wasn't a coincidence in 4x24!!
Circle goes on...
What about something like this...
ReplyDeleteFinal episode, closing scene, bad guys are beaten, everyone is at home relaxing. We have a shot from behind of Sarah standing in front of the bathroom mirror looking down at something. She looks up at the mirror with a shocked/happy/OMG expression like when she found her wedding dress.
We cut to the lounge where Chuck is sitting on the couch with a pen in his mouth as he looks over some reports from the Buy More. We hear Sarah walk to the end of the hall and says "Chuck?". He carries on with what he's reading, just sort of "uh huh." Sarah clears her throat and says "Charles." Now he knows its serious coz Sarah never calls him that. He puts the file down.
We switch to Sarah's POV looking from behind the couch as Chuck rolls onto his knees on the couch. His eyes widen, jaw drops, the pen falls to the floor. He stands up, looks at Sarah for a moment and says "Oh boy."
We switch to Chuck's POV and see Sarah standing there with one hand on her belly and she's looking down at her other hand which has a pregnacy test stick on it. She looks up, smiles as only Sarah Walker can, and says "Don't freak out."
Roll credits.
i think chuck should die as he heroicly saves a pregnant sarah from the big, mean, badguys!!! it would be awsome!
ReplyDeleteI think jeff and lester should find a top secret laptop that was left in castle from the old days and start to play with it......then a program starts and its the new intersect that chuck,s dad made right before he died.....Jeff and lester both wake up to say the following words at the same time......."GUYS, I KNOW KUNG FU!!"....then while playing in abandoned castle they come across some cables and wires...they follow them and discover a secret room containg chucks dads frozen body.....
ReplyDeleteSince I think Casey may die in the finale, I hope we'll finally get to meet his parents. Maybe Chuck and Sarah contact them about their son. As far as casting goes, I'd love to see Jane Fonda and Mike Farrell play the Coburns.
ReplyDelete
