Fourth episode in 7 (or 8) straight days of actual podcasting! Babydoll and I lose our minds. It is mercifully short. This is a heavily edited podcast with the reason for that need in the outtakes.
This episode has ADULT LANGUAGE. Do not listen if you are sensitive to harsh language.

You two should *really* duet together.
ReplyDeleteYou don't know how much I would love a Chuck/Archer hybrid show. If they could somehow pull that off, I would campaign harder than anyone has ever campaigned in the history of campaigns to save the show(no I wouldn't...too lazy).
ReplyDeleteDid we sing? I thought I cut that out. ;)
ReplyDeleteCashmere Mittens? Really? Oh god, Haha. Laughed the entire time through the outtakes.
ReplyDeleteThat mittens conversation went on for a while... and included much worse things.
ReplyDeleteMagnus, what did you think of Josh Schwartz's tweet about the #NotANielsenFamily campaign working?
ReplyDeleteSorry if already mentioned, but your take on the Schwartz tweet that '#notanielsenfamily is working'?
ReplyDeleteI dont see how it could, but its an interesting tweet.
I don't want Mary to be Agent X.
ReplyDeleteAt the end of Season 3, Orion says he did it all for her. In that sense, Mary being Agent X fits. Also, she worked hard to mess with Ellie's laptop, possibly knowing her files were stored on it.
However, in another sense, Vivian wanted Agent X eliminated as he/she is the last remaining threat to the success of Volkoff Industries. But if Agent X were Mary, it took her TWENTY years to get something done...with her son's helped. We also have no idea what the heck Mary is up to now; she's so unimportant compared to Orion. Most importantly, nothing we've seen on screen gives us reason to believe she is an Intersect. (Unless Linda Hamilton's horribly dull acting is supposed to support some withering away of her personality because of the toll the Intersect takes on the brain. OH, PLEASE. Put on your Governor! RAWRRAWRRAWR.)
I think you all know what I think of Josh's tweet already. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat is he going to say? "Stop wasting your time, it is a dumb idea, you idiots!"
no, more along the lines of not saying anything about it would make more sense rather then lie to the fans.
ReplyDeleteI could say more about it but at the end of the day, I don't think it is worth "winning" this point by throwing Josh under the bus, publicly.
ReplyDelete(Though, when you see Zac tweet something like that, you can take it more seriously)
ReplyDeletewould be pretty funny if Zac were to tweet about it tomorrow...lol... o well i will continue thanking the in show advertisers still.
ReplyDeleteIn-show advertiser stuff I support. I just found out, while recording the next podcast, that what he was referencing was the WeGiveAChuck thingy. As I say on the podcast, I support their initiative to focus on the integrated advertisers. If he meant that, then it is likely working. But the throw pooh at the every advertisers on the wall thing... no. That isn't working on any level.
ReplyDeleteAny comments on the latest Ausiello "spoiler"?
ReplyDeleteJust hoping you could elaborate on what he meant when he said it was one of the most expensive episodes. Where did this money come from and what was it used on?
and by not working on any level you mean tweeting pictures of us buying the producs of non in-show advertisers while thanking them for advertising on Chuck won't help either? just try and focus on the in-show advertisers?
ReplyDeleteSteven, focusing on a handful of advertisers (specifically, the in-show advertisers) will have a much bigger impact. Unless you are getting thousands of people buying every product on a list, and sending pictures of themselves buying them while wearing CHUCK gear, it is going to be like the flash mob of last year... very limited results. Focus is king.
ReplyDeleteNick, what part of Ausiello's spoiler do you want me to discuss?
ReplyDeleteAnd I haven't talked to anyone specifically about the budget.
Is agent x a regular, someone we havent seen in awhile, or someone new entirely?
ReplyDeleteThat answer shouldnt be too spoilerific, but should be a nice clue.
Damn... I deleted an awesome comment that trashed me for not working in marketing and for tweeting from my mom's basement. Please repost it. It was epic.
ReplyDeleteMagnus Razorback, how likely is it that Ellie could have the same ability that Chuck has to become an Intersect host?
ReplyDeleteCan't everyone become an Intersect host at this point?
ReplyDeleteAnonymous, that was answered by Ausiello.
ReplyDeleteFirst off , I agree with you ( Magnus ) about the whole twitter advertiser thing . But what I could see , is that with all the tweeting that people are doing that it could affect the show NEXT year . Sponsors could see however unlikely that Chuck fans are paying attention to their ads that might want to make them pay for in show product placement in some episodes next year that everybody will see . That would certainly help WB bottom line for the show to carry on for at least some of next season . Hopefully.
ReplyDeleteI have never said differently. It could help next year but first we need WB/NBC to secure in-show advertisers so they even want to make another season. At the end of the day, WB is the one losing money, not NBC.
