  2. Hee. That was some funny rambling.

I totally wouldn't be against any of that if the strippers weren't so busted in the face. I mean c'mon Ellie, I know you know what hot looks like. How can she be married to Awesome and think those strippers are what's called for? So disappointed.

  3. Not every beefcake can look like Cole. :)

  4. Mmm...sweet Jonathan Cake. As awesome as your idea is, if she didn't hit THAT because of Chuck, I don't know what it would take.

  5. That was before she danced around Chuck's stripper pole. Now that she has experienced the dynamics of that pole, she knows what she is missing. ;)

  6. That house right at the end of the promo with Chuck and Casey at the door reminds me of that photo that was out about the show using the " growing pains " house that gets all shot up during the ep somehow . I kind of get the feeling that whoever gave Ellie the Mustang at the end of First Fight will be the owner of that house and possibly be agent X , if it isn't Mama B . If it is Mama B , how are they going to explain " the governor " ? If they say she was the first intersect and had it removed , than how would they explain Orion not being sure if he could remove Chuck's intersect 1.0 in the beginning ? I can hear the moans now .... hopefully it doesn't come to that .

  7. Just quit the show and you won't have to worry about it.

  8. Hee. Poor inadequate Chuck. He really should have stole Shaw's Kama Sutra book. Maybe the CIA will grant him a visitation with the man himself, to get some pointers. He did get there first.:)

Delete this comment if you think it will start something annoying.

I'm good with what ever happens on the show . As long as there is not a faux pregnancy . That I think would turn me off of it . Anything else but that .

I'm interested to see what the ratings are for L&O and the Event tomorrow .

  10. Yeah...I went there. You better call Kenny Loggins cause I'm in the DANGER ZONE.:)

  11. Hope for 0.6 ratings for those shows. That would bump CHUCK back up a point or two on the index. :)

  12. Magnus, you should have Amrit on next time.

  13. Well now I have to ban Amrit for life.

  17. LOL.

I didn't mind the brevity of the podcast at all. No need to apologize.

Thumbs up on what you said season 5 needs. Repeating "Honeymooners" made it so obvious how much the honeymoon has been over for these two from a passion standpoint.

  18. In other words you'd like season 5 to be just like season 3 but with alot more sex and hotness.. =))
I kinda hope it won't be like that i got my fare share of "SluttySarah" so i hope if we get a season5 it will contain HOT ACTION but not cheating.
Just my 2 cents p.s. pretty funny episode :)

    ReplyDelete
  19. You have never seen slutty Sarah so... not sure what you are talking about.

    ReplyDelete
  20. sry.. i meant flirty ... :P
I just meant this show is so funny and well liked just cause the leading characters have a good relationship. I don't know how everyone would react at another love triangle/trapezoid etc. :) (to be honest i would hate it) :P

  21. Ratings suggest that the viewers who hate angst stick around and the ones who hate happiness don't. So, more angst!

    ReplyDelete
  22. I'm gonna make a wild guess and say that your in the second camp :) p.s. i totally agree with you on the other part.. no more sexy scenes no more ratings :)

  23. I enjoy the show. I like it best when it is fun. I don't care whether Chuck and Sarah are dating or not, but they should always be partners.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Remember when a lot of us non-insiders thought "Seduction Impossible" might entail Chuck and Sarah each having to seduce someone else besides each other. Then, we were wrong.

I still think that would be a fun episode. Season 5 standalone, maybe.

  25. Watching last night's show really reminded me of how we havent seen Sarah like that in awhile. I miss fun sarah, which i hope we can get more of once the wedding is finally done.

Also, I think despite the fact that Timothy Dalton is great, one of the things this show is missing from the first few seasons is the ever present threat that Fulcrum\The Ring brought, and anyone in the CIA could be a threat. It also allowed for more episodic plots when necessary, as while the overarching plot was about taking fulcrum\ring down, individual operatives could be the villain of the week.

    ReplyDelete
  26. We haven't seen fun Sarah in a while? Have you been watching the episodes with your eyes closed?

    ReplyDelete
  27. F-ing lol @ this podcast. You should do more podcasts when you first wake up. Seriously.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Based on the promo, my guess for the first intersect: Diane Beckman. Well, not really, but that would be kind of cool in an incredibly stupid way. Oh, or how about the corpse of Langston Graham? I know, it's Sarah and she's been lying about her age. She's like 60, and Gary Cole is really Dorian Gray.

By the way, Magnus. Coffee is your friend.

  29. Magnus,

Why are you trying to turn this show into something it is not for the rating's sake? Sarah cheating? chuck giving head to Hannah? sounds like some kind of mix between Spartacus and one three hill aka a soap opera. I truly hope you were joking because I expected some better ideas from you. And stuff like that will only magnify the problems that this seasons is having: the lack of consistency in the character portrayals.

"Ratings suggest that the viewers who hate angst stick around and the ones who hate happiness don't. So, more angst!"

Thats a false assumption and you know it. Granted, a large portion of the male demo has fled this season but like most serialized shows, chuck has been shedding viewers from the very first episode. There is no way of telling what exactly caused the decline in ratings (my money's on DST this year). besides, it wasn't an isolated case. Not just chuck dropped, everything went down the drain.

    DS.

  30. Not the same as fun sarah before. Its different.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Whenever people need a way to argue that Chuck and Sarah should stay together, they play the "soap opera" card.

It isn't a soap opera unless it is a soap opera. Just saying "soap opera" is meaningless.

  32. At this point i think its gone too far for them to break up. However, had they broken up, it wouldntve necessarily been the problem. The problem would be if they did it in such a way that was totally out of character, which i think either one of them cheating would be at this point.

The best thing for this show is to get the wedding over with, and move on.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Dear DS,

No offense, but you might want to consider the overall tone of this blog and that there may have been just a tiny bit of tongue-in-cheek (not to mention sleepiness) in the latest podcast. Not that I would ever speak for Magnus, before whose feet empires tremble, from whose lips flow the words of the gods and in whose sight we are but insects. I'm just saying is all.

  34. S3 was not exactly the descent into soddom and gommarah that some sections of the fan base make it out to be. I'd be more than happy to see a little of that edge back. This season has been very happy->not much edge->young male demo down the drain. It is somewhat simplistic but you can't deny that even with all the bleating about S3 the % of young males did not go off the cliff the way it has done this season. I also have a memory that quite a big drop in males 18-34 occured straight after Balcony.

  35. Best thing for this show would be for a main character to DIE in the finale. That would be a big game changer. And for the show to amp up the sex and hotness in season 5. Plus, Team B needs a Fulcrum type of bad guy. The Ring was lame. I agree that Volkoff as a character is awesome but his organization isn't scary.

Bring back Fulcrum! Season 5: Fulcrum 2!

  36. THE EVENT and LAW & ORDER: LA both ticked up 0.2 from last week. I bet CHUCK would have been up the same had it been on this week.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Pulling it out of my ass, how about a reorganized fulcrum that's been rebuilding behind the scenes. The kicker would be that Jill is either at the head of it, or she is the only way Team B can bring it down. (or maybe they *think* she's involved in it but has really been working from within to bring it down and they dont find this out until later)

As to the ratings, its too bad chuck didnt have a new one last night, to get the benefit that Event\LOLA did of most other network programming being in repeats.

  38. Must have had a good dream in that little nappie.
But your wrong, People are tired of the Will they wont they stuff. Will they kiss, will they get it on, will they become a couple, will they get engaged, will they get married, will they have affairs, will they have children. Enough get on with the spy missions and hotness and put to bed the will they wont they.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Fred, nope.

    Anonymous, I can dig that.

  40. While I don't really care that much about Chuck and Sarah beeing together I doubt that cheating would do any good to the show, especially when a possible series end is always a close threat. Perhaps ratings would rise but it could easily destroy the dynamic that has been build up until now (the cotton candy relationship) and would be like a huge punch in the face to so many viewers who have been loyal and liked the show as it is right now.

  42. Why would I do that? I don't punch. Maybe I let people think they got punched, but that doesn't matter right now. :)

  43. I'm sorry .. didn't know about the rules :P i'm new here.. i just thought it was a funny idea for the show :) p.s. is 0.9 rating good for a (R) ? :)

    ReplyDelete
  44. For CHUCK a 0.9 is pretty good for a repeat. I bet had it been a new episode, it would have been a 1.5 or thereabout. Next week won't be as fortunate for NBC.

    ReplyDelete
  45. What are the odds NBC puts a Chuck promo on during The Voice tonight?

    ReplyDelete
  46. In hindsight, maybe NBC should have ended the season on the 9th instead of the 16th.

They could have run what looks like a strong new episode(422) last night and seen a ratings bump going into the final two.

The promo was really good, but they usually cut them down to a :15. I wonder if it will be as good in that version.

NBC premieres their new singing show The Voice tonight. I'm not really interested in it, but I wonder if they'll promote next week's Chuck in it.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Why will next week be bad for NBC?

Also, I am now convinced that you, Magnus, are a crazy shipper at heart. Well, not really. But wouldn't it be interesting if under the gruff exterior beat the heart of a fwuffy widdle kitty?

    Jim

    ReplyDelete
  48. Eddie, I imagine it is zero but we shall see.

    ReplyDelete
  49. I might actually watch tonight, just to see if they do a Chuck promo...

Maybe a cool idea, they could get Christina Aguilera to do a guest appearance on Chuck and Sarah could beat the crap out of her.... That would get great ratings
