CHUCK will go on hiatus following episode 4.10, Chuck Versus the Left Overs, which airs November 29th, 2010.
NBC has announced that it will return on Monday, January 17th, 2011 with Chuck Versus the Balcony. That means CHUCK will not have a new episode for SEVEN WEEKS.
What will you be doing during that time? Comment below.
7 Weeks are you kidding me?!!! This sucks, really I mean my week is started w/ chuck, it makes my week, I have no clue what I will do, but I do know that DECEMBER better go by quickly, BRING on JAN 17th! Thank you for the update!
ReplyDeleteI'll be rocking in a dark corner in the fetal position. Someone remember to feed me.

What will I be doing? Sulking! Like a kid who's just had their favorite toy taken away!
ReplyDeletePlease someone move this from NBC to a decent network. Do we really need 7 weeks of festive programs? Good way to hold onto your audience give them a 7 week break so they eventually don't care if the show comes back on or not!
ReplyDeleteHow do you feel about the layoff Magnus?
ReplyDeleteThe fact Chuck is now one of the only parts of the schedule that NBC is not moving around, is a strong sign, but it also shows you what a wasteland the network is.
If they can get the normal 2.0 the next 3 weeks, maybe even inch it up somehow to 2.1, 2.2, and then come back in Jan, hopefully with actual advertising behind it, and keeps the #s up, the future will look good.
How many weeks was the show off the air last year, wasn't it about the same amount of time?
Jason
THANK FREAKING GOODNESS!!
ReplyDeleteI love Chuck, but I have January modules. So glad - one less distraction to worry about!
However, I'm tearing up already - no Christmas/New Years episode?! I've been waiting for one since season 1!
I will be slowly crying myself to sleep at night and trying to comfort myself by watching the entire show through from the start!

I will be spoiler teasing people for 7 weeks, I guess. ;)
ReplyDeleteI'll be wallowing in self pity.

ReplyDeleteI would just love it if once it starts it runs straight through, but they probably need a few weeks off air in the middle due to the production schedule.
Magnus, are they taking a production hiatus after 413?
Diane, I am trying to remember... when is the production hiatus? Hmmm... I know someone is going to read this and call me a dumbass and remind me that I was JUST told this.... because I know I was.
ReplyDeleteWell, there will be one. I just don't remember when right now. :)
I will be crying until x-mas and then after that crying again until new years eve and then hoping for the sun to rise on a sad long almost 2 months and hoping they put on at least one episode during that 7 week period.
ReplyDeleteI actually expected this date. Its about hitting 4.24 during sweeps in May. They have 14 episodes to air over 19 weeks if they plan to air the finale at the last monday of the May book. 1 week will be the State of the Union pre-emption so they have to find 4 more during its run. I don't want them ending the season before May.
ReplyDeleteI might try and see zach's new animation movie Tangled. I saw photos of zach and yvonne at the premier, it is good that the actors are supporting each other outside of chuck, they really are a great cast and crew, but where was gomez! baldwin, etc, lol.
ReplyDelete17th is MAH BIRTHDAY

ReplyDeleteAnger... hostility toward the opposition.
ReplyDeleteDiane, hiatus is after 4.14.
ReplyDeleteSEVEN WEEKS! i could barely handle one, but seven! i guess i'm just going to have to re-watch Chuck from season 1 again, and again, and again...i'm counting on you to make this break bearable Magnus...no pressure :)

Magnus, is this an alright/good point for them to take a hiatus?
ReplyDeleteA 'yes', 'no', or 'it's alright' will do :)
so if Chuck is back in January 17.
ReplyDeleteJanuary 17. Chuck vs The Balcony
January 24. Chuck vs The Gobbler.
January 31. Chuck vs the Push Mix
February 7. 4.14
Break
which is mean ther is no valentine day episode
:(
Production hiatus, not schedule hiatus.
ReplyDeleteGood question, Anonymous.
ReplyDeleteOhh. Ok. Sorry I misunderstood.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the clarification.
:)
@ryan_schwartz on twitter...
ReplyDeleteDoes this mean there is no Christmas episode, or NBC is gonna be stupid and end up showing it in January?
This break would be a good time to have a rewatch.
ReplyDeleteOMG I'm going to have a BF
ReplyDeleteSeriously :O seven weeks is gonne kill me.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely gonne watch all from the start again!!
I am seriously crying right now!!!!
Sounds like a good time to go on hiatus myself...Hawaii? Vegas? Get outatown!!!!

ReplyDeleteI'll be in Argentina for 2 weeks in January so I won't be thinking of CHUCK that much.
I believe that I'm coming home the 19th so I will be missing that first Monday :(

ReplyDeletewell... its summer in Argentina, so, i guess i will be going out on mondays, or going to the pool or something to try to fill the void :(

ReplyDeleteI'll probably have a few Chuck marathons, spend endless hours searching for spoilers for episodes after the break. Followed by endless nights googling Yvonne Strahovski to see if there are any new pictures of her from appearances during the break. Then I'll spend countless ours surfing Twitter to see what the cast is up too. I'll also wait breathlessly the many weeks between each of Yvonne's tweets. Then while at work, I'll think that I'm a better writer than Josh and Chris and probably write a few episodes of Chuck in my mind. Which will suck. Of course I'll visit Chuckgasmic and read your blogs about crazy shippers. And try to convince myself I'm not one of those fans. Who I'm I kidding, I want them to have babies already. I'll probably buy Mass Effect 2 for the PS3 even though I have it for the 360 just so I can win over Miranda again. And act like I didn't meet her in the engine room. And just when I think I'm a sad sack and should be ashamed of myself. Chuck will be back on the air and I'll be ready for the next Save Chuck movement. But that's just me...
I hope that this they can use this time to make the next couple of episodes, hopefully it is nothing alarming this hiatus i mean.
ReplyDeleteas long as there is a season 5 to look foward to in the future I can handle a 7 week break
ReplyDeleteAND AS LONG AS CHUCK AND DO NOTTTTTT BREAK UP!!!!!!
Why does NBC seem to do this to Chuck. First no advertising for Chuck prior to or during the season and now no mention after the 4.10 episode when the show would return. Then they wonder why ratings drop.
ReplyDeletethank god i own all the seasons, i don't know what i would do without it ;)
ReplyDeleteI'm already watching all again, now i'm in the second season. I'm very very anxious to the 04X11 episode. Sorry my english, but i'm brazilian and i officialy speak portuguese.
