CHUCK Season 5: You Write It, I Make it Happen!
With my many, many, super secret ninja sources within WB and NBC, I have the power to influence the writing of the season in ways the show runners can't even begin to imagine.
I am that good.
Don't believe me? Sucks to be your cynicism.
Now, for those who are believers, who have faith in the all mighty Me, I am taking requests now for what you want to happen in season 5. I will then take the best ideas and have one of my smoke-bomb-throwing ninjas sneak into the writers room late at night and drop the idea(s) on their white board.
Those guys and gals are often so full from stuffing their faces with the awesome catering they get, and "happy" from whatever else that goes on when the doors are closed, that they won't notice that they didn't put the idea(s) on the board.
Hurry, though, there isn't much time before they start to break the second half of the season! Once that happens, my ninjas can only change so much. So, put your ideas in the comment section (anonymous posting, as always, is available), and I will make it happen!
Don't delay, dammit!

I see you peeps aren't taking this seriously.
ReplyDeleteDumb.
Oh well, I gave you a shot.
CIA Director Langston Graham survived the Intersect room explosion via a hidden slide. He's been the puppetmaster all along behind the major events of CHUCK. Think about it: Graham going rogue would create lots of personal drama for Sarah, Casey, Chuck, & Beckman. Plus Tony Todd can play an amazing villain.
ReplyDeleteAnonymous, I like it. Though, I may need to shorten it up for the board.
ReplyDeleteI would like to see Chuck or Morgan(if anything were too happen to his intersect) get through a mission by remembering things from there childhood, like slumdog millionaire (it could even be remebering a game that they played as children, The puzzles in the game could be similar to the mission). This would give the audience a lot of insight into Chuck's childhood. we have heard all about it but it would be nice to see a few flashbacks.
ReplyDeleteGood one... I may be wrong, but I think this may have been an idea the writers were considering at some point.
ReplyDeleteReally? thats cool.
ReplyDeletewhatever I just want to meet Sarah's mom.
ReplyDeleteThe CIA set up Beckmen and she gets arrested for a crime she didn't commit, Chuck and the team then have to break her out and she becomes part of their new team
ReplyDeleteThem celebrating Sarahs birthday, and we get to now what happened to her mom.
ReplyDeleteI am surprised, these are all good ideas so far.
ReplyDeletePlease find a creative way for Chuck to have the Intersect back -then he can be a real mentor to Morgan. (I think the show falls flat when Chuck doesn't have it... )
ReplyDeleteright i want there to be a fight scene where chuck and morgan or kicking loads of peoples asses. So like morgans in ttrouble got like 10 bad guys on him carnt handle them all then somhow chuck just flashers again no one nos why he could just flash again he just does. And morgan and chuck just kick everyones ass
ReplyDeleteWell, I just would love to see a fight where everyone sees that Chuck is an spy, I mean all the nerds from the Buy More see Chuck in a fight :P
ReplyDeletehttp://scifimafia.com/2011/08/chuck-a-galaxy-of-farewell-season-guest-stars-and-a-clip-of-the-new-intersect-in-training/
ReplyDeleteAre this spoilers true ? and if so wtf ? they are bringing back the most stiff character from the series ? Daniel Shaw ?:(
I'll give suggestion after you confirm (if u can)
Proper kisses btw chuck and Sarah!!!
ReplyDeleteBring back Bakula!
ReplyDeleteI would love to see a Chuck musical episode in season 5, that will be awesomesauce!!! :D
ReplyDeleteI want to see a Charah baby!
ReplyDeleteAdriaN`S, I have nothing to share related to Brandon Routh returning. If it is true, it shouldn't be a surprise.
ReplyDeleteMaybe I'll break the "good idea" trend.
ReplyDeleteI'd like to see the team in competition with MI-6 agent Cole Barker for some objective.
Also, last year when you spoiled that there would be multiple seductions in "Seduction Impossible", I thought the seductions would involve Chuck and Sarah. Silly me. So, I'd like to see a case where they have to each seduce another person and see how they deal with that as a married couple. You could also mix in an "Eyes Wide Shut" type situation like was alluded to in "Masquerade" when Sarah said she had been to those kinds of parties.
I'll probably get things thrown at me for this one, but I feel like the "gang gets stuck in Castle" episodes are kind of a tradition at this point. I was disappointed with the Murder episode last season so I feel like we should get a decent one since its the last season. Also, I'd second the Sarah's birthday idea, but only cause I imagine Sarah being very anti-birthday and I would think the whole episode she would be totally off her game.
ReplyDeleteHey they said that Tricia Helfer is coming back too! SIX!!!!!!!!!!!!Now Magnus, please ask Fedak this time to actually use her to he full sexy potential! not a lame one, lol. I want to see her just be all season 1 and 2 BSG all over the show, oh please!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDelete@AdriaN`S
ReplyDeleteI think that site got it a bit wrong. If you go to source of that information (AOL) they only say that Mark Hamill will add to the list of well known guest starts featured in the shows history and then they list some of these guest starts. It's not a spoiler of who's coming back this season.
Ahahaha MediaSavant, let me guess your favorite is season3 :))
ReplyDeleteIf they take your route they should go all the way :)) Chuck finds Sarah in their bedroom doing in an orgy with Awesome,Morgan,Cole and Shaw (while she has Bryce's picture on the nightstand to involve him too) Right ? :))
I think you watch the wrong show MediaSavant, a soap opera would be much better for your taste in cheating, sleeping around. You should try Gossip Girl, there everyone sleeps with everyone :)
On the serious side Magnus :
- it would be nice to have a Christmas episode this year
- some proper steamy scenes between Chuck & Sarah.. if they want to end the season with a baby they should first try to procreate :))
- since it's the last season it would be nice to end it like it began with more stand alone episodes and no unnecessary drama & angst.
The last 13 should be lighthearted episodes.
Get the Intersect out of Morgan. The show is called "Chuck" for a reason. Chuck and Sarah with a kid wouldn't be a bad idea. I want to know what the hell is going down/has gone down with sarah's mom! Lol
ReplyDeleteI have a title and a basic description:
ReplyDelete"Chuck vs. The Crazy Shippers"
Daniel Shaw (guest star Brandon Routh) escapes from prison, steals Sarah's charm bracelet and gives it to Jill (guest star Jordana Brewster) who he has found and brought back to Burbank still wearing the diamond ring Chuck gave her. Shaw reveals to Chuck what Sarah's real last name is. Also guest starring: Kristin Kreuk
The true force behind everything that has happened to and around Chuck these past four years: Jeff Barnes, spymaster in hiding.
ReplyDeleteOr how about this, Chuck, Sarah and company must aid Lester Patel, the true heir to the Hinjew diamond mines of Saskatchewan, in his quest to regain his lost throne.
Jim
Hmm, I dunno. I'd like to see something with Sarah's mom and get some more background on Sarah. More Cat Squad stuff would be awesome, but that might be hard with Mercedes on The Finder now. I'd also really like to see Morgan being unable to handle the Intersect physically and Chuck somehow getting the Intersect back. An Ellie/Awesome night out where Chuck and Sarah have to take care of Clara would be pretty funny. I'd also like to see more of the old team, more Casey and Sarah working together, maybe with this whole Gertrude thing.
ReplyDeleteHarry tang returns to the buymore to find out that chucks on top
ReplyDeleteOr bring shaw back for a couple episodes
And maybe an episode of both Lou and the girl from smallville and Jill make an appearance
And I want to know how chuck and Ellie got through childhood
By themselves
Get Summer Glau to guest star again and make a fight scene happen between her and Yvonne Strahovski! Think of the awesome! THINK!
ReplyDeleteWhen everything in this comment section happens in the season and people sit around going "OMG! WHY DIDN'T I SAY WHAT I WANTED?! I AM SUCH AN IDIOT WHO READS CHUCKTV!" I will laugh... and then save some laughs for later and then laugh again.
ReplyDeleteAnd again.
andagain
Bring back Shaw as a crazy-psycho-malfunctioning-intersect-villain-person that escaped from prison in 'exceptional circumstances'
ReplyDeletehere is a real off the wall idea ...
ReplyDeleteTeam B gets aid from an enigma who knows a little too much. It is revieled that the enigma is Chuck and Sarah's child from the future who came back just to save them.
TS
I really want too see a Chuck musical episode! Zachary Levi can sing so there's no excuse. Also, I'd like to see Jill (Jordana Brewster) back so we get to know how she left behind her life as an evil spy.
ReplyDeletehow come no one has said they'd like to see Bryce (Matt Bomer) back?? They could totally work it in somehow with a White Collar cross over since USA is NBC Universal...
ReplyDeleteHave a mission in NYC, just a quick cameo..they pass Neal on the street or something?? OR if that's too cheesy...
Something else...I'd love to see Bryce again...and Bakula (flashback) AND Harry TANG!!
Character continuity and for the stories to make at least vague logical sense. Please make that happen, Magnus. Please.
ReplyDeleteSorry, Sue. I may be all powerful but even I can't make the writers do that.
ReplyDeleteI want to see an episode where Chuck is actually AT comic-con!! :-D
ReplyDeleteAn episode that is told in two time periods; like vs. Cougars, except future tense. Present day Carmichael Industries leaves a loose end on a mission… that baddie (Jill? Jealous and childless?) returns in 8 years to threaten Clara, her little brother, and cousins Chuck Jr and Sarah Jr. The Bartowski women rise to the occasion, and the children shine as future forces to be reckoned with… (knife throwing is involved!)(children don’t know parents have spy skills)
ReplyDeleteHow about we find out that Bryce Larkin is really Neal Caffrey and "Bryce Larkin" was for some long con and we find out why Bryce really sent the intersect to Chuck.
ReplyDeleteTeam Bartowski goes to a mission in somewhere in South America and the clues leads them to a music tournament where the super-powered-and-nuclearly-letal weapon is the trophy to the best singer, blablabla, and there you go... I mean, everybody wants to see(and hear, wt...)Zac singing on the show.
ReplyDeleteI forgot to mention this in my previous post :
ReplyDeleteplease, somehow take the intersect away from Morgan ! they can even kill him for what i care :)
3,4 episodes cool.. but if he keeps it the whole season the ratings will probably go on negative :)) and i don't mean a decrease i mean no viewers at all :))
Make Morgan keep the Intersect longer? Is that what you said?
ReplyDeleteJust please find a way to convey to the writers how much Morgan with the Intersect is unwanted in the fandom. Maybe it's just me but I just don't see what's so great about it.
ReplyDeleteThere is no way to convey that to them. They love the Morgan stuff. Sorry.
ReplyDeleteCandis Cayne as a former soldier or NSA agent who has been in hiding for years for.....you supply the reason. He was so desperate to avoid capture/death that he underwent a sex change operation. She eventually turns to her old friend, John Casey, for help.
ReplyDeleteZ
Allie and Awesome should be a part of team. Allie can read Orion's work, and she can improve the intersect. Also the Carmichael's team should save the world from a nuclear war caused by a chinese terrorist conspiracy, makin' believe the NSA and CIA that Russia and Middle-East confederation would attack USA using nukes. Morgan should work fine as intersect, and with Alex, they have to be trained on a bootcamp by Casey. Don't forget Frost, that should help Beckman with her intel network. Jeffsters Will have the opportunity to have a gig outside the buy more.
ReplyDeleteThis should be, i guess, a good plot-sketch for some ep.
What do you think about it?
let's get sarah pregnant!
ReplyDeleteI want Chuck to start carrying around a real gun on missions. Even if he never fires a single shot all season. I also want to see him physically fight someone and win without the intersect. Finally, if they do a story with Sarah's mom, I want her to be a villain somehow.
ReplyDeleteIt would definitely be great if Ellie could be more involved with the team. They set it up perfectly with her neurology background AND the family legacy AND the discussion at the end of Agent X about her and Chuck working together. Now all they have to do is actually follow through with it.
ReplyDeleteJulian says ...
ReplyDeleteChuck + COMMMUNITY cross-over !! How would it work ? I don't know , but it needs to happen :)
Other than that , it would be fun to see team B get a mission that they have to go to some kind of fancy party . They enter , Morgan first and the guy stops him and says " it's couples only " . Cue Sarah walk up in a sexy number . They go in together while Casey and Chuck are a little behind and are unaware of what's going on . So they have to enter together acting a little less than straight lol Casey's reaction would be hilarious while Chuck would go along with it " for the mission " .
Also maybe get the girls involved ( Ellie , Alex and Sarah ) in a seduction mission while the guys are in the Van watching and listening to their better halves seduce information out of their marks . lol
Since the ratings go down when the writers give the fans what they want (e.g. Chuck and Sarah together), I wouldn't be surprised if the Morgan intersect stuff is ratings gold!
ReplyDeleteYep... things I hate tend to get ratings.
ReplyDeleteI would like to rediscover the feeling of passion between Chuck and Sarah, that they used to have.
ReplyDeleteGo watch season 2.
ReplyDeleteMore about Sarah.. The REAL Sarah :) We still don't know her last name and we still don't know if Sam is actually her real name. Now that they are married, she should have no secrets.. Remember? "No lies, no secrets, from now on". (That EMP episode.)
ReplyDeleteOn the fun side: Jeff actually was a test subject for the intersect. That would explain him being nuts, but being awesome in spying.. Eh, stalking :D
I would like to see some sort of 'Epic Flash'. You know when he takes that pill that takes all his fears away? He got like 3 flashes at the same time. Only this time, Sarah, for example and he gets a freaking epic flash... And a swat moment :p Lots and lots of SWAT. Or loads of spies helping Chuck. One big reunion.
How about some Chuck and Sarah hotness? We're lucky to get a kiss out of those two these days. Their attraction was so much stronger when they weren't even a real couple.
ReplyDeleteI would also very much like to see some more Sarah backstory. (Where is mom?)
Oh and i want to hear Zac sing. Not a musical episode, but maybe he could get stuck doing Kareoke or maybe a number with Jeffster. I keep thinking of that scene in Adventures in Babysitting where the bad guys are after them and they get stuck in the blues club and can't leave without singing the blues. I can totally see some sort of scenerio like that playing out on Chuck.
for me I would just hope that Chuck and Morgan have one of those scenes like they did with the first halloween episode. That would be awesome.
ReplyDeleteSounds like something for 5.02, Greg!
ReplyDeleteWow, that didn't occur to me until now. Given Chuck is premiering October 21st, the 2nd episode would be airing close to Halloween. IF they were going to do yet another Halloween episode, it would be then.
ReplyDeleteOr they could do what they did last year with the Valentine's Day episode and instead of having it ON FRAKIN' VALENTINE'S DAY... have it the week after it.
ReplyDeleteI would love to see Chuck successful as a spy without the intersect, but that might give validity to Morgan as a spy WITH one, and I can't ask for that. So, I'll ask for some actual steam for our couple, for Ellie and Awesome to not get too involved (there are enough people in the mix as is), and for no Jeffster musical numbers. Sorry, but I can't handle them. Oh, and while I'm asking for the improbable, I'd love for the series finale to have a neatly tied up happy ending.
ReplyDelete- more Kevin " Bacon "
ReplyDelete- more sexy Sarah
- more Buy More shenanigans ( S2-esque )
- more sexy Sarah
- more episodes that take place in air vents ~sarcasm
- more sexy Sarah
I like to see Chuck remember everything that was in the intersect. Explains why Papa B says he special.
ReplyDeleteI'd like to see Ellie save Casey's life, and then apologize for the frying pan incident.
ReplyDelete-More steamy scenes between Chuck and Sarah
ReplyDelete-Less buymorrons
-Less Morgan
-More stand alone episodes
-Have i mentioned more steamy scenes between Chuck&Sarah ? oh yes, Right now they kiss like grandma&grandpa.. maybe they can fix that since they are a young couple
@ first Anonymous: I really seriously liked your Graham is alive idea. Really.
ReplyDelete@MediaSavant: I love the idea „Chuck vs the crazy shippers“, hahahahahaah. And I love the “Eyes Wide Shut” suggestion. I also wouldn’t mind eye-candy Cole Barker.
@Razorback: people who read Chucktv probably would try to warn Fedak about the rogue messages being possibly written on the board and then ask for an “exclusive” interview in which the big scoop is that Awesome continues being Awesome this season.
@Sue: yay for character continuity…(hopes fading)
PRETTY PLEASE TPTB (not really good ideas, just what I really want, so no board writing chance here):
- I would love anything that brought Timothy Dalton back and some Bakula flashbacks. Put them both in a flashback and I am happy!
- Sarah’s mom. Mostly because I am curious about the casting;
HELL TO THE NO:
- babies or pregnant Sarah;
- musical episode (this is not f****** Glee!!)
- Shaw, unless Brandon Routh is playing “frozen Shaw” or “statue Shaw”, because in those cases his acting would be sublime;
- yet-again-trapped-in-Castle-episode (will it still be called Castle?);
CHUCKTV EXCLUSIVE! Fedak says "Awesome's Still Awesome!" ;)
ReplyDeleteI think it's only fair that Carina gets to come back for at least 1 episode in this final season since she has been in about 2 or 3 seasons
ReplyDeleteStand Alone Episode: Chuck vs. The Devil's Trill
ReplyDeleteChuck and Sarah accompany Ellie and Awesome to the symphony and end up rescuing the guest violinist (ideally played by Felicia Day) from would-be abductors. As it transpires, she is wanted by both the government and foreign agents believing that she is a spy, surreptitiously smuggling out secrets about developing espionage technology. The violinist, a nerd who's geek knowledge could give Chuck a run for his money, is in fact an innocent pawn. It is her manager who is the actual spy, who uses the violinist to slip codes to his associates by always deciding her encore piece (utilizing the piece's musical structure with mathematics, abstract algebra, and Fibonacci numbers). Now it is up to the team to stop the manager and the agents from completing their mission and clearing the violinist's name.
P.S. The Devil's Trill is an extremely technically demanding violin sonata by Giuseppe Tartini.
bring back fulcrum
ReplyDeleteI wanna see Hannah come back! Or at least some ex of chucks.
ReplyDelete@Anonymous:
ReplyDeleteThe only ex that IMO would bring anything interesting by comming back would be Jill.
@wesley: Fulcrum was fun, and the Fulcrum soundtrack was way better than the Ring soundrtack :) But, as Bryce Larkin said, Fulcrum is just a part of the Ring... and the ring is destroyed... so...
ReplyDelete@Elle K.: that is very specific indeed. How could the ninjas manage to write it all on the board without being noticed? :)
I didn't say they would write ALL the ideas. Just the best ones. :)
ReplyDelete@Razorback: I know, I meant to say that Elle K wrote such a long episode description, that even if it were considered one of the best ideas, it would be impossible for the ninjas to write all on the board. The ideas should be kept simples, like the "Langston Graham is alive" one, my favorite so far.
ReplyDeleteNo worries... the ninjas know what they are doing. :)
ReplyDeleteAs long as the ninjas remember Chuck & Sarah are in love and are a sexi couple who should actually kiss from time to time it's all good :]
ReplyDeleteThese ninjas can't do anything about the edit, sorry.
ReplyDeleteJim J. Bullock or Richard Simmons as Alex Coburn's brother.
ReplyDeleteZ
I like the idea of the men having to watch the ladies seduce thier way past some marks and the girls knowing this and trying to not upset the men would be funny. I would like to see papa B and mama B together.I hope that papa B is behind the whole conspiracy for season five and reveled to be protecting his family the whole time.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the Halloween episode idea.Do something with it.Everyone is dressed for a patio/fountain party when all crap hits the fan at once and the spy games begin, while everyone is still dressed in costume. They all unknowingly act like the characters they are dressed up as.My suggestion for costumes..
Chuck and Sarah as Commander Shepard and Miranda Lawson
Morgan and Alex = Anikin and Pademe
Casey as General Patton OR Casey & Gertrude as Neo and Trinity
Thoughts people?
I would love to see some holiday episodes. Birthdays, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Valentine´s or whatever they can fit.
ReplyDeleteI mostly loved those. Although the Aisle of Terror and Masqerade weren´t that great, but I would still love to see some holidays included in the episodes.
And lots of standalone episodes would be great as well.
I got to thinking about the show's homage to Hart to Hart a while back. I never watched that show, but I thought that maybe the writers could just rip off some of the standalone plots and call it a day. Here are a few from a Hart to Hart episode guide. Just substitute "Chuck" for "Jonathan" and "Sarah" for "Jennifer".
ReplyDeletePassport to Murder
The Harts south-of-the-border boating holiday turns Jonathan and Jennifer into desperate fugitives, on the run from Mexican police and a gang of drug dealers.
(something about C&S fighting drug dealers as opposed to spies could be cool. Also "boating holiday"= Sarah bikini)
Jonathan Hart Jr.
A young boy shows up at the Hart's gate in the middle of the night claiming to be Jonathan Hart, Jr. The child proves to be the unwitting pawn in his biological father's criminal plot.
You Made Me Kill You
A deranged woman who works for Hart Industries has an obsession for Jonathan. She sees Jennifer as a threat to her fantasies of love and finds it essential to eliminate her.
Cop Out
An article written by Jennifer leads a prostitute to ask for her help and the Harts go under cover to bait a killer who is murdering prostitutes.
(Chuck as a pimp and Sarah as a prostitute. What's not to like?)
BTW-some of the Hart plots were vaguely like episodes Chuck has already done. There was an episode on a train that had a vaguely familiar plot.
I would really like if Sarah's mom were a normal non-spyish person that was simply irresponsible and abandoned a (conman) husband and daughter in order to party and do drugs and is nowadays a lovely housewife regretting her past and unable to find her daughter (new names, fake addresses). It would be more belieavable than "master spy that hid in the underworld in order to protect her beloved daugther" or "heiress to a restaurant that served as a front for mafia money laundering". Well, the writers seem to enjoy the absurd storylines, so...
ReplyDeleteps.. by the way, this is not a suggestion for the ninjas. It is easier to say what I don't want the character to be than to suggest something interesting as a character backstory for a non spy-ish/non-criminal Sarah's mom. I just hope they steer aways from the obvious cliches...
Sarah's Mom will revealed to be the ultimate bad guy behind everything that's happened in the last 5 years !
ReplyDeleteProfessor Professorson
Work some jealousy in now that they are actually a couple: Seductive missions are OK, but how about a woman determined to get Chuck after being saved by him (hero worship)-maybe she looks at Chuck the way Chuck looked at Sarah. Chuck politely resists, but she doesn't stop, so Sarah has to step in and take care of it. Maybe Jill does come back to try and win Chuck, a Sarah/Jill angry brawl that Chuck tries to break up could be hilarious!
ReplyDeletePaintball episode in the Buy More . Buy More vs Large Mart . Sarah and Casey taking care of business !!
ReplyDelete@MediaSavant those all sound pretty good to me lol! The writing staff should take a break and use some of those ideas instead.
ReplyDelete@**Mamemimomu** agreed, I think it would be much more believable if Sarah's mom was a normal person. Don't know why people always latch onto the idea that she would be a secret villain or millionaire or whatever. Sounds dumb to me.
So far the worst idea is that Sarah's mom has been behind everything.
ReplyDeleteAnytime you shrink the world down to the point where everything had to have happened PERFECTLY, it makes the whole show stupid, unless you base the whole show on some concepts of destiny.
CHUCK is not that show.
My idea for Sarah's mom is that she was an ambitious golddigger who ditched her husband and daughter for some rich older man.
ReplyDeleteNow, she's like an older, lonely "Housewife of Beverly Hills" whose husband has kicked the bucket and she's being preyed on by younger con men after her fortune.
Enter Charles and Sarah Carmichael who encounter her at one of the swanky events they now attend as fellow rich people.
I just don't want her to be another spy or criminal, but someone who needs Sarah's help, which Sarah is reluctant to give...at first.
They definitely need to address some holiday issues-birthdays, Christmas etc. with Chuck and Sarah going out of their way to make the other feel special. So far all we have is a clock radio, a charm bracelet, and oh yeah.....Sarah gave Chuck her spy will.
ReplyDeleteGo ahead and bring Bryce back. After his 2 "death experiences" he realizes that he should've never let Sarah go, he is in love with her and knows that at one time she was in love with him. Nice guy aside, he tells Chuck that he is there to get Sarah back. Chuck freaks out as usual, and ultimately Sarah will have to decide once and for all.
ReplyDeleteCan Ali Adler come back and write some episodes?
Chuck needs to actually get shot this year-probably in the back as a result of trusting someone he shouldn't. 4 seasons and barely even a scratch (one knife wound in the leg that lasted 5 seconds during his final exam and his brain getting wiped out.....wait.... after all of that nothing was wrong with him). The reality of the danger needs to be brought back to light with Chuck (not Casey or other random people getting killed).
ReplyDeleteYeah, the jealousy thing could work. Maybe revisit Sarah getting "physical" with Chuck (like at the dinner party in Season 1), laying out the boundary lines etc.
ReplyDeleteI agree, Chuck needs to demonstrate some fighting skills without the intersect. Surely having fought after all of those flashes, and 6 months of training in Prague would have rendered him somewhat useful in a fight?!
ReplyDeleteSarah's mom probably had some sort of substance abuse issue, mental instability or something that would enable Sarah to choose her con-man, never there for her father over her. Depending on what her mom's issue is, Sarah's insecurity/vulnerability can be highlighted here like they did with her high school reunion.
ReplyDeleteLangston Graham can not still be alive. That would be stupid-no way he or anyone else survived that explosion. Bryce on the other hand can and should be alive again. The wound was on his side (not even in the chest like the first time), and for no reason at all he was immediately taken from that room....Why?!
ReplyDeleteHey! Why are people so worried about Morgan as the new intersect? Easily fixed because it was never a problem.....those glasses that he put on were merely the glasses from the geek back in Nacho Sampler-only Kung Fu and only temporary. There was no ocular identification like in the intersect glasses that Bryce gave to Chuck. So Morgan can use the glasses like the geek did and do a little Kung Fu once in a while, so what, it sounds fun!
ReplyDeleteI don't think 13 episodes will be enough
ReplyDeleteTricia Helfer comes back and kidnaps Chuck. She wants to see what all the fuss was about and why Sarah fell for him, so she tries to seduce him herself. Enter Sarah and a super-spy girlfight ensues..........
ReplyDeleteCasey can have a love interest first, but in the end it would be fitting if he ended up with Kathleen.
ReplyDeleteKarina is Sarah's real life sister and facilitates the reunion with their mom.
ReplyDelete@Professor Professorson: I like your name. It is funny, but I hate your idea. Sorry for being so honest. It is bad, really bad. It cold only get worse if it were "Sarah's mom is behind all that has happened and after a lot of plastic surgeries she became...
ReplyDelete- General Beckman" or
- Carina". That would increase even more the level of lameness.
@ Anonymous: really, Bryce? Back from the dead again? He was dead, like "bled to death dead", not "blowfish poison induced death" dead. I would like the return of Ali Adler only if she hadn't been too Glee-fyed. I know that her comeback is impossible though.
@ other Anonymous: I also think that Chuck has to get seriously injured at some point. Casey was thrown from a building (and knocked out by a frying pan, hehe), Sarah was almos cooked alive by an awful awful fever that required oh so many ice cubes, Papa B was murdered, Ellie was once poisoned, Morgan electrocuted himself...etc. The reality of danger needs indeed to be brought back to light with Chuck IMO.
If we ever SEE Kathleen again, I will be shocked. Get her out of your mind.
ReplyDeleteReally? You don't see Kathleen in Casey's future? Casey can see now that love and a successful spy life ARE possible ala Chuck and Sarah-plus they have a daughter together. They should definitely put closure on the issue and have Casey settle down with Kathleen while still working with Chuck and Sarah.
ReplyDelete~Cautiously Optimistic
I am willing to put money on it. No way Kathleen and Casey end up together.
ReplyDelete13 Episodes to close the show & tie up loose ends. I don't think you can have Sarah get pregnant unless there would be another season to explore the ramifications of that. I know it is generally accepted that this is it, but it is still really sad to see the end of a great show. Any chance another network can/will pick it up?
ReplyDeleteWhy would another network pick up a show that is doing worse in ratings than some cable shows?
ReplyDeleteWB is not giving the show up for cheap anymore. So, anyone who would pick it up would pay FULL PRICE per episode.
Not happening.
I don't know, it just seems like another network might be willing/able to manage it better than NBC did (promoting then not promoting, disrupting the schedule all the time with long breaks, changing the number of episodes, and now moving it to Friday night, starting in October, etc.). I know it had it's chances, but it's difficult to add/maintain followers when the show is not on consistently.
ReplyDeleteI hope if we do see Sarah mom, that they don't make up with each other. I like that LittleOrphanSarah fond a family with the Bartowskis' and it gives the show a bittersweetness that it usually lacks given the writers pention for wrapping stories up in a neat little bow. I want Sarah's character to stay a little dark as horrible as that sounds, and I think her backstory grounds the show a little. At least for me.
ReplyDeleteReally, Anonymous? What are you basing this theory on?
ReplyDeleteBecause CHUCK has had tons of promotion and didn't do very well in the ratings for more than a week or two. And you can't spend more than you take in. Also, EVERY network takes their shows off at points during the schedule. Other shows don't have a huge drop in ratings when it happens. In fact, CHUCK has often done BETTER coming back from long breaks. So... this argument is silly.
No other network is picking up a show that has only survived because the studio has taken a hundred million dollars in losses to keep it on the air, so that they can make money later on syndication. CHUCK has reached syndication numbers. WB IS DONE WITH IT unless NBC orders more episodes. And NBC is 90% done it with... and it may be more like 95% done with it.
Why would any other network pick it up? There is no financial reason for doing it.
I suppose you are right about the financial aspects/not getting picked up. I just feel like the show still has some potential (love the characters/relationships, guest stars and story lines). Maybe it is an 8 season show, but alas maybe it is just wishful thinking from a fan that really looks forward to seeing it each week. Apparently I'm still in denial.
ReplyDeleteGet out of denial. Instead, accept the inevitable and enjoy every second of it.
ReplyDeleteIt is better to miss it, than to eventually wish it ended sooner.
If WB saw an opportunity to shop the show around to other networks, they would do so.
ReplyDeleteThey don't need clueless fans who know nothing about the TV business to suggest it to them.
The fact that they don't do so speaks for itself. It always amazes me that laypeople outside the business think they've thought of something the executives who are driven by the desire to make money haven't.
@Sue agreed on your thoughts about Sarah and her mom. Also, I feel like whatever happened between the two of them based on Sarah's comments, events in the flashbacks etc., that it isn't something Sarah would easily get over in one episode.
ReplyDeleteNice try, anonymous. But if you can't even sign your comment, it won't get posted.
ReplyDeleteSorry. I'm just a regular person/fan of Chuck, and I don't subscribe to anything that enables me to pick out a cutsie little screenname. However, I'm not sure how Mamemimomu, OldPandaDayz, or noidhoidah are any more of a "signature" than Anonymous. I'm pretty sure "MediaSavant" would know which Anonymous was responding, but you're the boss! =)
ReplyDeleteWell, since I at least know their anonymous personalities I can base their nutjob ideas on history.
ReplyDeleteAnd MediaSavant is as much an expert in the field as anyone, and you are not. Sometimes insane ideas need a cold reality check. USA has no interest in CHUCK. Neither does any other network. If WB can't even put CHUCK on its OWN NETWORKS, why would anyone else pick it up?
Some general rules of TV based on years of reading:
ReplyDelete1. Companies make TV shows to ultimately make money on those shows.
2. TV shows are deficit-financed by their production companies. They lose money in the early years in hopes of making money later.
3. On the network side, the goal is to make more money through ad revenue from a show than you pay the production company for the license fee to air the show.
4. On the production side, because you've deficit-financed the show, your goal later is to consider all opportunities to now profit from the show, if you can. It's not like the U.S. government. It's now time to actually balance the books.
You have the networks on one side, needing low license fees to profit NOW balanced against production companies which need higher license fees to pay the debts they picked up earlier. Then, you have ratings that are going down and not up once a show has been on a while.
So, if they aint doing it, it doesn't fit these rules.
I've never worked at a network or a production company. I just read a lot.
"I've never worked at a network or a production company. I just read a lot."
ReplyDeleteDitto. Plus, I know peeps who do work for networks and production companies and they roll their eyes whenever a fan thinks they have thought ahead of the professionals.
All these fan "strategies" do is make a nuisance out of those who run with it and waste the time and give false hope to those who don't know any better. In other words, whenever you run with something like this after being told by people who know better than you whether it has any potential to work, you are being a douche.
@Anonymous: Hey, Mamemimomu is my real name. It is a very common woman's name in the country of Poyais.
ReplyDeleteI know this is probably to late but what if they did an episode where someone like jordan chase from dexter comes in and the mission is to get him but when they are just about to get him his goons get in the way and he escapes and by the end they get him or it could be a 2 episode mission.
