I am going to leave this first one up to remind everyone... if you want your comment posted, try to avoid any spoilers you may have read elsewhere, since lots of people read these teasers to NOT be spoiled too much. Thankfully, that guess it completely wrong so I can allow it. ;)
Haha! Ok.... Morgan has been into Chuck's wallet again and left another IOU leaving chuck with no choice but to lift one from some other poor sucker's wallet.
I have a bunch coming and probably a scavenger hunt. We shall see. This episode probably has the most spoilers already out there so I have to be extra creative. :)
Underware and Vinegar: Chuck left for France without a change of clothing and had to steal underware from a garden gnome. To sanitatize and clean it he used the vinegar. However Sarah then thought they were in Italy because Chuck smelled like Italian dressing.
Magnus this is so OBVIOUS ;) Clearly this refers to Chuck and Sarah "stealing" away, because they're not "prepared" to return to Burbank.
I can also see Morgan having to steal Casey's Crown Vic. Unprepared due to the fact that he doesn't own a car. Peddle safe! (this one is ridiculously way off)
Magnus all I can say if 3.14 doesn't get the crazy shippers back on board than I don't know what will. I know it's been painfull this season but let's all enjoy it now Chuck and Sara are together
Teaser 2) Chuck&Sarah - have to deal with trying to function as both an actual couple and a team of spies. Ellie&Devon - Africa sure ain't Burbank. Casey&Morgan - Casey has to dig deep to find the patience in training Morgan in spycraft. Morgan&Anna - she's back!
2) IMO obviously Chuck/Sarah is the one couple, Morgan/Casey is the other "couple". Chuck/Sarah have to work together as spies and a couple and Morgan/Casey have to work together to find Chuck/Sarah, new beat for both.
2. I'm not certain of this one. But in my vast experience, I'd say that the four "couples" are basically more or less pairings that take on a new shape. The show's dynamic has changed with Morgan putting his foot in the door with Team Bartowski. Chuck and Sarah (couples) are now together in a intimate sense, not just occupationally. Morgan and Casey will be working in tandem, not just at the Buy More now, but on a global level. Awesome & Ellie settle into a life the consist mostly of Chuck not being around. Anna and Morgan will have a different relationship (that is not built on sex or trust). These are all based off of "new beat" meaning a change from the original status quo.
2.1) Jeffster gains new members. Lester brings a girlfriend into the inner circle which in turn causes division. Ultimately, the band breaks up, and the four members go their separate ways, forming new bands under totally different genres. AKA "the Yoko Ono Effect." The good new is that they reform the band, retaining it's original moniker, but under the folk-metal genre. Booyah!
Anonymous person whose comment I had to reject... yes, these are specifically related to 3.14 and no other episode. Therefor, anyone's ignorance related to the plot is part of the fun of allowing them to speculate incorrectly. ;) See, most people don't actually want to know everything. I know! It is nuts that most people like to go into an episode knowing very little.
Several people have already provided guesses for #1 that mirror my own.
Here's my guesses for #2: 1. Chuck & Sarah - whose relationship is more upbeat, at least in this episode. 2. Devon & Ellie - who will playing to an African beat. 3. Jeffster - who will be changing musical genres and, thus, a different beat. 4. Morgan & Casey - who will be headed off the beaten path.
Teaser 2: Chuck and Sarah are doing the tube steak Boogie. Casey is singing to Morgan " Short People" Ellie and Awesome are going bungle in the Jungle Two Spanish spy's HoseA and HoseB are singing the theme song to the Dorris Day Show "Gay Saraha Saraha"
First you give us one teaser at a rime if we do something...and now you show us the multiple teasers but we cant read them!!! Oh your so cruel Magnus! :D
I'm gonna go with some word play here, Magnus. [Assumption: "Trick" refers to the act of prostituting] Referencing Chuck vs. the Fat Lady, Sarah acting as an escort for Chuck is an "old hat" but perhaps their new relationship makes it a newer experience for them both.
Everybody above is saying that they'll be portraying a married couple, so I had to break away from the norm ;)
1. Chuck and Sarah need a ride to catch the train, but don't have one, so they steal a scooter.
2. Four couples are: Chuck/Sarah being intimate, Casey/Morgan as spy partners, Ellie/Awesome going to Africa, and Jeffster having "creative differences."
3. Chuck and Sarah trying on an old hat means they put wedding rings on again like they did last season in Vs. the Suburbs. Only the new trick is to act as honeymooners.
Teaser 3: I believe that "Chuck and Sarah try on an old hat" could mean C+S wearing rings like in vs. The Suburbs and the "new trick" to be their cover as honeymooners instead of a married couple like they were in vs. The Suburbs... Am i close? :D
#3 could also refer to the "flying Sarah" kick. Didn't she and Bryce use that back in Nemesis? Being recycled now with Chuck could qualify as a new trick.
Have you seen 3.14? If so, I was wondering how you feel this episode compares to other in S3?
Also, does this episode seem like a new season in the sense that there is a marked changed from the first 13, perhaps a shift in the balance between drama and comedy?
While Chuck and Sarah are exploring Paris, They come across an old hat, Sarah picks it up and puts it on her head, Chuck flashes and sees sarah from a previous mission putting a hat on her head and dancing around with a gun shooting people. When he sees the gun pointed at him he does a tripple backflip and lands in a fountain.
1. Chuck and Sarah have to steal the motorcycle/scooter to save Casey and Morgan.
2. 4 couples Chuck and Sarah - more upbeat now Ellie and Awesome - plan on doing DWOB together Casey and Morgan - let the training commence! Jeff and Lester - big plans for Jeffster!
3. Chuck and Sarah played a married couple in Suburbs in Season 2 so that is the old hat but the new trick may be that they actually act like a married couple unlike what happened in Suburbs.
Ok, I just watched the promo for this next episode...and it looks like all my wild guesses have 0% substance. Oh golly gee. A couple weeks ago I predicted a Casey/Morgan bromance. I'm sticking to to that one. Jus' saying ;)
Magnus have you seen the rest of this season's episodes? If so, do you think they are better than the previous 13 episodes of season 3? Does the focus shift from the Chuck and Sarah relationship, or do they kinda leave them together and focus on the spy/comedy stuff? I realize you probably don't want to spoil anything, just wondering what your thoughts were...
I doubt anyone but the editors and producers have seen all the episodes (they just finished editing 3.18 and 3.19). So, I have not seen them. :)
However, what I know about the final six episodes (and I talk about this a bit in the podcast), I feel that they are going to be pretty crazy good. I have also covered your other question in previous podcasts and discussions. They will never simply leave Chuck and Sarah alone. That relationship is a big part of the story.
So, will they leave them together? I have answered this before and am not going to say it again as it looks like Schwartz is teasing his own thing specific to that question and I am not going to contradict him. :) But I think they have freed up the story and set up for an awesome season 4.
4 The Ring is everywhere looking for Casey, Morgan, Chuck, and Sarah for kidnapping their director. Chuck and Sarah will also be wearing wedding rings so the Ring and rings will be everywhere!
Magnus, right from the get go, let's ditch the obvious conclusion that people will draw from the from the word "ring." First of all, forget about it referring to the super secret (not so good at being a spy organization) Ring group. Nor does this refer to the shipperific idea of wedding rings. This teaser CLEARLY refers to a travelling Gypsy circus that Chuck and Sarah encounter in Europe. Get it? A three ring circus? ;)
Another scenario: Morgan and Casey find themselves trapped by...oh never mind. Just give me my award now. I love being right. :D
#5. So what does Morgan learn? Could be the physical dynamics of flinging your partner through the air to take out a baddie. The dynamics of recoil when shooting a gun. How to cover for your team with Beckman.
Hey Magnus, you should withhold revealing more clues until Bailey hits 2K for St. Jude's. She is a cool little kid and deserves it.
Teaser 4 Rings. Sarah and Chuck are running around Europe While half of the NSA are looking for them. The ring refers to the phone calls, E-mails and Skype calls they are ducking so that they can put on rings and pretend they are married. The ring also refers to the ringing in Morgans ears after training with Casey, the ring agents they encounter, The Hand ringing General Beckman is doing because she disagrees with the C/S couple, the ring Ellie is questioning wearing as she is departing for Africa leaving Chuck to Morgan and Sarah, and the bathtub ring Chuck leaves that makes Sarah want to ring his neck.
The guesses for 6 that I had to reject... are you guys serious? That is the extent of your ability to think outside of the box? The definition of crazy shippers was within those rejected comments. Get your heads out of your arses.
1 - sarah steal handcuffs, guns, etc since they did not come onto the train as spies
2 - jeffster, CS, CM, EA
3 - I can't can't get the slang for 'hat' out of my head - pass, one would bring many 'hats' to wear on one's honeymoon - sorry - pass again
4 - lots of choices, all of them great
5 - morgan probably had no idea what he is in for, first glimpse in 3.14
6 - going to go with a chuck still does not have full control of the intersect despite the fact he gets to wear lots of 'hats' in the company of his fav lady
magnus, I am real interested in how sarah is reacting to this flood of emotion - any good sarah centric teaser you willing to pen for us?
chuckfan75, there are some things I will not tease. You should see them without being spoiled. "Other Guy" was the cake. This is the icing, the chocolate pieces, and the whipped cream.
Teaser 5: Morgan learn the dynamics: NO please say its not true. Morgan can learn? Please do not leave Morgan unsupervised. I can see Morgan putting a gun in his belt and having it fall down his pants hitting the floor sending a bullet that ricochetes throughout Castle damaging computer equipment and sending the everyone to the floor and then the gun falls apart in so many pieces that it can never be used again. Casey then paces in circles grunting.
Teaser 6: Chuck is still not over the hump. While on their trip the two love birds stop to ride camels. Sarah's Camel is well behaved while Chuck is not. To get off the camel Chuck has to climb over the hump and slide over the camels neck but the camel resists even this. Sarah then questions her relationship with Chuck and what she got herself into and if they can make it work. Chuck then requests an intersect update so that he can speak camel.
Another try at #6. Perhaps Chuck and Sarah not merely on a AWOL vacation, but planning on going AWOL altogether and leaving the biz like in 3.01 and 3.12, only to get dragged back in by a combination of the flashes on the train and Casey.
At the end of 3.12 Chuck wanted out, and he may be going AWOL to have a "normal" life. What if the hump he has to get over is accepting that the spy world is his normal life, and he has to learn to live the life he wants while being a spy. It makes sense given the episode synopsis for 3.15.
Here goes. 5) If there's anything I've learned from the game "Portal" it's that you must fling yourself through a portal to reach you destination. Perhaps we'll see the little bearded man launched "Casey Style" in order to accomplish a task. I just wanted to reference Portal really badly. 6)I've got nothing. A friend of mine suggested that Sarah is actually a man, and that the hump is and Adam's apple. God forbid. We all nearly pummeled him for even thinking that. 7) This one is really easy. When they open the casket, it will be revealed that Shaw was actually Bryce Larkin wearing a mask ;) 8) Even easier. If you put something in my mouth, I BITE DOWN HARD. Sorry Magnus, I'm off my "A" game.
If it's Casey coming to bring them in, I bet he surprises them by finding them, and surprises them by again by supporting their relationship. I can see him posing the question to them, as a friend, that they have to make a decision between each other and love of country. Perhaps even suggesting they can have both since he couldn't/didn't.
If it's Morgan, I believe he will have this uncanny knack of being able to find them, and he will pop-up unexpectedly. While everyone else is using GPS tracking etc. to find them, Morgan will probably delve into the psyche of one Charles Irving Bartowski and figure out where they are headed next. Something like "No, no, no Chuck would never go to Paris without seeing the Eifle tower. He has to be there." He'd be like a Chuck specific Intersect, and probably have better intel than Casey.
Oh, and let's not forget Morgan "interrupting" them when they return to Burbank.
Twice suprised by the same person, I am assuming that Casey tracks them down and handcuffs them twice, I can only imagine what he would say to Chuck: "Going somewhere Bartowski, you come with me or I will end you, I can kill you with my thumb, elbow or ever been bludgened with a suit case" lol. I think Casey and Morgan are going to be comic cold!
Here are my guesses...Some serious and some completely NOT SERIOUS...I'm sure all are completely off base, but that's the fun of it :D
Teaser 1: When unprepared, a true spy steals.
In the literal sense, I think I would go for the Chuck and Sarah not knowing the train trip is turning into a real mission. So they have to steal something to help with the mission.
In the unprepared sense, I would go with Morgan. After the Buy More take over, I think Morgan is highly capable of thinking outside the box if need be, for hilarious results. The Electric Knifes still crack me up, so maybe something along those lines.
Teaser 2: Four couples play to a new beat.
Sarah and Chuck-officially a couple Ellie and Awesome-DWOB Casey and Morgan-spy in training Jeff and Lester-beat, actually referring to a new song, something out of their genre, maybe Folk Music?
Teaser 3: Chuck and Sarah try on an old hat for a new trick.
Old hat refers to them always being in a relationship, although this time it’s real. So they actually make a relationship fake out (although it's not fake this time) for mission that goes even better than expected, since they are so used to doing fake relationship stuff. So they accomplish the mission sooner, they work nicely together. But we already know that ;)
Teaser 4: Ring here, ring there. Rings are everywhere!
Wedding rings, real or fake. The ring as in the bad guys. Everyone decides to play ring around the rosie at the same time, even though they are on different continents and cities. Jeff and Lester bust into a rousing rendition of Johnny Cash’s “Ring of Fire”. Someone develops a bad case of tinnitus.
Any of the above??
Teaser 5: Morgan learns the dynamics of things.
Thinking outside the box, dynamics are also in relation to sound. Since Morgan is going to be trained by Casey, I think Morgan learns a gun sound is actually louder when it’s real, as opposed to a video game gun sound.
Teaser 6: Chuck is still not over the…hump.
I get the feeling Chuck is still going to have problems flashing (the hump) and he really shouldn’t, since all things seem to be aligned in his life right now. Maybe this is a foreshadow to whatever causes him to be admitted to the looney bin. I have a strong suspicion the Intersect is misfiring and one of many reasons could be it hasn’t been updated lately or has been infected by a ‘virus’. It is a computer after all.
Teaser 7: Twice surprised…by the same person.
Ellie surprised by Casey twice-promo related for one, not sure on the other on
#7 twice surprised by the same person. That's easy and I call it. The runaway couple get surprised twice by none other then our very own Colonel John Casey. That's all I can come up with...can't wait for monday. =)
1) I have to go with the whole "i don't take guns to a real date" Sarah said in First Date. So I guess C/S will be unprepeared for thier encounter with the bad guys.
2) same as everyone else: C/S - M/C - E/A - jeffster!
3) Old hat: been married. New tric: allowping together instead of a "mish".
4) Ring: spy org. / Rings: fake wedding rings. / Rings: real wedding rings? (sorry the romantic in me likes it!)/ Ring: they discover in the train that there is another branch of the ring org they didn't know about.
Chuck flashes and suddenly heis representing the us on the rings program at the olympics!
5) Morgan learns aero dynamic and becomes team B new consultant!
being serious: Morgan learns what it means to have a double life. awsome's line came to mind: having a double life means half a real one...
6) treaky... in brit means depression, so... the hump is superman?
7) Morgan interuptus? jeje. ok. General B. Onces in the end of eps 13 once in 3x14.
Ausiello upgraded Chuck's renewal status from "could go either way" to "a safe bet." I know that doesn't actually count for anything, but it's mildly encouraging. Does this match up to what you've been hearing?
I've also heard Heroes will get a 13 episode final season, so maybe we'll get something similar to what was planned last year, w/ both shows getting 13 eps, w/ Heroes in the fall and Chuck taking over in January
Stan, no decision has been made or will be made until they see how the show does in the next few weeks. Are things looking up? Yes. But they could change if the ratings tank in the next few episodes. So, I think people should ignore what Ausiello is saying. All he is doing is giving people an excuse to relax. This is the WORST time to relax. We need to keep spreading the word... more so now than ever. But if the show does what it did last year (increase in the final six), the chance of renewal is good.
Thanks to the NFL Draft for killing NBC's ratings on Thursday which make Chuck's ratings look better. Cancelling Chuck becomes more difficult when Community just got a 1.7 and it's been renewed.
If only they would have spread the draft Tuesday through Thursday for about five weeks.
Also, as it warms up, ratings drop. It was a long winter and now people are going out to enjoy the warmth. Hopefully CHUCK returns to ratings better than a 1.9. We will see. The show never seems to benefit from time off.
You just have to tell everyone you know to watch Chuck Mondays. If the Show is half as good as the Sneek Peaks then we are in for a true treat. The latest is the Heart to Heart dream spinoff with Morgan I can not stop walkering around and chuckling. Teaser 8 Crashing a Party. I think that It would be Casey crashing the party and Ellie kicking him out because of her believing that he got drunk and exposed himself.
I gotta agree with Magnus on the renewal situation. Until the announcement of renewal is made, don't relax.
I can remember the situation of Fox's "Dark Angel" several years ago. One day it looked good. The next day bad. The next day good. That was upfront week. In the end, it got canceled because Fox picked up Firefly instead.
Number 8. Can't help but think back to Chuck vs. The First Date, when Casey literally crashes the date with the Vic. Probably not related in any way to this episode though. "Somebody order take-out?"
Hi,for me as an US-outsider it difficult to do something for the ratings, so what about hulu and nbc. Does it help to watch the epidsodes online again and again, i think there are the so called live+7 ratings? What about that?thx
Basti, not really. At least not right now. Best thing those outside of the US can do is encourage those who live in the US, via the Internet, to watch live.
did anyone ever think that for number 6 Chuck is still not over the fact that he killed someone... although he did kill shaw(which i loved) he didnt even like to shoot a gun so killing someone might have set him back a bit. Orhe may not be out of the spy game yet like he wants too hence the hump being the spy world
This is pretty brilliant, Magnus. It goes way beyond anything I've ever read about why people feel so strongly about the show: http://chuckthisblog.wordpress.com/2010/04/24/why-chuck-and-sarah-matter/
Charles, I agree with the description of what went wrong with C/S in season 3 to date and what was right about them in seasons 1 and 2. I'm not sure I buy all the importance this post places on these fictional characters, no matter how much I love them and wish they were indeed real, they are, alas, still inventions of the writers on a given day in the writers room. But the poetry of C/S and what drew us to them and the show was spot on.
Sarah stealing the handcuffs from the polish rocker.
ReplyDeleteI am going to leave this first one up to remind everyone... if you want your comment posted, try to avoid any spoilers you may have read elsewhere, since lots of people read these teasers to NOT be spoiled too much. Thankfully, that guess it completely wrong so I can allow it. ;)
ReplyDeleteWoooot! Thanks for posting, Magnus.
ReplyDeleteThe fact that you say "true spy" makes me think Morgan for some reason.
I think it funny that people are posting "That is obvious" and then guessing the wrong thing. Silly buggers, it has nothing to do with it.
ReplyDeleteSeriously, has he not replaced it since Colonel???
ReplyDeleteHaha! Ok.... Morgan has been into Chuck's wallet again and left another IOU leaving chuck with no choice but to lift one from some other poor sucker's wallet.
ReplyDeleteCasey needs something from Ellie and Awesome. He's greeted with a frying pan.
ReplyDeleteLola says:
ReplyDeleteCool, so the teasers season begins! Great Magnus :)
Ok... no idea ja! But its fun to read.
Sarah's spastic colon acts up and Chuck has to steal some toilet paper from another room :)

ReplyDeleteUghhhhhhh not again! Ha! Awesome! Don't know what they steal but I bet it's great to watch. :)
ReplyDeleteNat
Chuck steals that scooter for him and Sarah to ride?
ReplyDeleteDoug
Sarah stealing Chucks robe? He's not going to need that for what they'll be up to.

John, I like your out-of-the-box thinking. I do think you should guess every possible scenario so that you can claim you nailed it. ;)
ReplyDeleteI think teaser-1 will become clearer as I drop more teasers on ya.
Magnus all I can say if 3.14 doesn't get the crazy shippers back on board than I don't know what will. I know it's been painfull this season but let's all enjoy it now Chuck and Sara are together
ReplyDeleteChuck and Sarah steal rings to pretend they are married for their cover
ReplyDeleteTeaser 1) Pass.
ReplyDeleteTeaser 2) Chuck&Sarah - have to deal with trying to function as both an actual couple and a team of spies. Ellie&Devon - Africa sure ain't Burbank. Casey&Morgan - Casey has to dig deep to find the patience in training Morgan in spycraft. Morgan&Anna - she's back!
Eirik
I 'll pass on 1)
ReplyDelete2) IMO obviously Chuck/Sarah is the one couple, Morgan/Casey is the other "couple". Chuck/Sarah have to work together as spies and a couple and Morgan/Casey have to work together to find Chuck/Sarah, new beat for both.
J
J, you seem to be missing two couples.
ReplyDeleteJeff & Lester, Awesome & Ellie, Morgan & Casey, Chuck & Sarah
ReplyDelete1. Sarah steals a passenger's identity to use for a cover.
ReplyDelete2. The couples are Chuck & Sarah, Morgan & Casey, Awesome & Ellie and Jeffster.
Hi Magnus.
ReplyDelete1. I don't know.
2. I'll guess: Awesome and Elie in Africa and Jeff and Lester and in what context...I have no clue.
Thanks for the fun.
2. I'm not certain of this one. But in my vast experience, I'd say that the four "couples" are basically more or less pairings that take on a new shape. ReplyDeletePaul... uh huh. A new paradigm. ;)
ReplyDeleteSeveral people have already provided guesses for #1 that mirror my own.

1. Chuck & Sarah - whose relationship is more upbeat, at least in this episode.

Teaser 2:
ReplyDeleteChuck and Sarah are doing the tube steak Boogie.
Casey is singing to Morgan " Short People"
Ellie and Awesome are going bungle in the Jungle
Two Spanish spy's HoseA and HoseB are singing the theme song to the Dorris Day Show "Gay Saraha Saraha"
I don't know what teasers 1 and 2 mean. But the others are pretty obvious.
ReplyDeleteThe answer to teaser 6 is "peaches". It's obvious. Can't see how nobody spotted it yet.
ReplyDeleteFirst you give us one teaser at a rime if we do something...and now you show us the multiple teasers but we cant read them!!! Oh your so cruel Magnus! :D
ReplyDeleteMagnus: Do I need to have my eyes checked or the screen became blurred? ;)
ReplyDeleteMarieKiki19
Hmmmm.... how many fingers am I holding up?
ReplyDelete14?
ReplyDeleteMarieKiki19
Your eyes are fine.
ReplyDeleteHere's my first try at the new blurred teasers (actually, my first try at any of your teasers). I'm a newb at this.
ReplyDeleteOf course, these are partial and I don't know what to expect.
T3: Chuck and Sarah try on vs off bed for a [3 letter word (not "sex")] trick.
T4: [7 letter word begins with 'A']. Ring. [5 letter word]. things are misunderstood(?).
T5: [7 letter word] [4 letter word] is the definition of damage.
T6: (I got nothing)

Hey Magnus, if the anonymous comment u were referring to was mine, i'm sorry! Didn't realize it was a spolerish question :(
ReplyDeleteLola.
old hat for a new trick ... hmmm ... married couple cover might be the old hat (like in vs Suburbs)
ReplyDeleteis teaser 3 talking about them pretending to be married again like in 2.13?
ReplyDelete- bret
Hmm... planning on un-blurring any of those teasers anytime soon. Magnus?
ReplyDeleteI'm gonna go with some word play here, Magnus. [Assumption: "Trick" refers to the act of prostituting] Referencing Chuck vs. the Fat Lady, Sarah acting as an escort for Chuck is an "old hat" but perhaps their new relationship makes it a newer experience for them both.

Gambs
Teaser 3: I believe that "Chuck and Sarah try on an old hat" could mean C+S wearing rings like in vs. The Suburbs and the "new trick" to be their cover as honeymooners instead of a married couple like they were in vs. The Suburbs... Am i close? :D

#3 could also refer to the "flying Sarah" kick. Didn't she and Bryce use that back in Nemesis? Being recycled now with Chuck could qualify as a new trick.
ReplyDelete'Old hat'- Marriage, they break out the old Mr & Mrs Carmicheal cover?
ReplyDeleteHey Magnus,
ReplyDeleteHave you seen 3.14? If so, I was wondering how you feel this episode compares to other in S3?
Also, does this episode seem like a new season in the sense that there is a marked changed from the first 13, perhaps a shift in the balance between drama and comedy?
Thanks!
Magnus,
ReplyDeleteI'm a little curious .....
What's your ALL time favourite episode to date ? What episode did you rate the highest ? and lowest ?
Jules
Jules, lowest would probably be Mask and Sensei. Favorites are Tic Tac, Colonel, Break-Up, Truth, and Lethal Weapon.
ReplyDeleteMagnus, you are evil. In a good way
ReplyDeleteAre you doing another podcast before the new episode airs? If so PG or NC-17 rated?
ReplyDeleteMagnus,
ReplyDeleteOnly ''Tic Tac'' from Season 3. Why ??
Thanks,
Adi
I loved a lot of episodes in season 3. I was just noting my favorite episodes.
ReplyDeleteJust finished editing the next podcast. It is PG. After that, we should have 5 podcasts that are NC-17. ;)
ReplyDelete1. Chuck and Sarah have to steal the motorcycle/scooter to save Casey and Morgan.
ReplyDelete2. 4 couples
Chuck and Sarah - more upbeat now
Ellie and Awesome - plan on doing DWOB together
Casey and Morgan - let the training commence!
ReplyDeleteDo you mean the promo they ran after the last episode? That is not a promo for the next episode. More like a promo for the next few episodes.
ReplyDeleteMagnus have you seen the rest of this season's episodes? If so, do you think they are better than the previous 13 episodes of season 3? Does the focus shift from the Chuck and Sarah relationship, or do they kinda leave them together and focus on the spy/comedy stuff? I realize you probably don't want to spoil anything, just wondering what your thoughts were...
ReplyDeleteCurt
I doubt anyone but the editors and producers have seen all the episodes (they just finished editing 3.18 and 3.19). So, I have not seen them. :)
ReplyDeleteHowever, what I know about the final six episodes (and I talk about this a bit in the podcast), I feel that they are going to be pretty crazy good.
Magnus, I only saw what was on YouTube titled 3x14 Promo. It had a tiger in it.
ReplyDelete4 The Ring is everywhere looking for Casey, Morgan, Chuck, and Sarah for kidnapping their director. Chuck and Sarah will also be wearing wedding rings so the Ring and rings will be everywhere!
ReplyDeleteChuck and Sarah find that wherever they go, they will run into Ring agents, because, basically 6.6% of the world's population are members of the Ring.
ReplyDeleteDiane
Magnus, i don't know if you see the last eps, but have any change the intersect work automatic, and also cause collateral effects, not permanent?
ReplyDeleteCASTROMAGALHES
Magnus, right from the get go, let's ditch the obvious conclusion that people will draw from the from the word "ring." First of all, forget about it referring to the super secret (not so good at being a spy organization) Ring group. Nor does this refer to the shipperific idea of wedding rings. This teaser CLEARLY refers to a travelling Gypsy circus that Chuck and Sarah encounter in Europe. Get it? A three ring circus? ;)
ReplyDeleteAnother scenario: Morgan and Casey find themselves trapped by...oh never mind. Just give me my award now. I love being right. :D
#5. So what does Morgan learn? Could be the physical dynamics of flinging your partner through the air to take out a baddie. The dynamics of recoil when shooting a gun. How to cover for your team with Beckman.
ReplyDeleteHey Magnus, you should withhold revealing more clues until Bailey hits 2K for St. Jude's. She is a cool little kid and deserves it.
Teaser 4 Rings.
ReplyDeleteSarah and Chuck are running around Europe While half of the NSA are looking for them.
Rob C, done. I will not reveal any more until her charity drive reaches $2,000! Though, she is only $60 from that so...
ReplyDelete#6 - Well Chuck does look exhausted in the promo when Walker pulls him back into bed. Maybe she is too much woman for him and he's exhausted? :)
ReplyDeleteMaybe Chuck going AWOL with Sarah so soon after his expensive tactical assault is enough for Beckman to revoke his agent status?
The guesses for 6 that I had to reject... are you guys serious? That is the extent of your ability to think outside of the box? The definition of crazy shippers was within those rejected comments. Get your heads out of your arses.
ReplyDelete1 - sarah steal handcuffs, guns, etc since they did not come onto the train as spies
ReplyDelete2 - jeffster, CS, CM, EA
ReplyDeleteTeaser 5:
ReplyDeleteMorgan learn the dynamics: NO please say its not true.
ReplyDeleteAt the end of 3.12 Chuck wanted out, and he may be going AWOL to have a "normal" life. What if the hump he has to get over is accepting that the spy world is his normal life, and he has to learn to live the life he wants while being a spy. It makes sense given the episode synopsis for 3.15.
Chuck is not over the hump .... is THAT what we are calling Shaw these days.
ReplyDeleteHere goes.
ReplyDelete5) If there's anything I've learned from the game "Portal" it's that you must fling yourself through a portal to reach you destination.
When they open the casket, it will be revealed that Shaw was actually Bryce Larkin wearing a mask ;)
8) Even easier. If you put something in my mouth, I BITE DOWN HARD.
Sorry Magnus, I'm off my "A" game.
7 - Either Casey or Morgan.
ReplyDeleteIf it's Casey coming to bring them in, I bet he surprises them by finding them, and surprises them by again by supporting their relationship.
ReplyDeleteHere are my guesses...Some serious and some completely NOT SERIOUS...I'm sure all are completely off base, but that's the fun of it :D
ReplyDeleteTeaser 1: When unprepared, a true spy steals.
Sarah and Chuck-officially a couple
Ellie and Awesome-DWOB
Casey and Morgan-spy in training
Jeff and Lester-beat, actually referring to a new song, something out of their genre, maybe Folk Music?
ReplyDeleteLola...
ReplyDeleteOk, here it goes :)
1) I have to go with the whole "i don't take guns to a real date" Sarah said in First Date. So I guess C/S will be unprepeared for thier encounter with the bad guys.
2) same as everyone else:
C/S - M/C - E/A - jeffster!
8) RG like RG?
8 looks like it could be "There is nothing like ---ing a party"
ReplyDeleteCrashing a party? I dunno.
Ausiello upgraded Chuck's renewal status from "could go either way" to "a safe bet." I know that doesn't actually count for anything, but it's mildly encouraging. Does this match up to what you've been hearing?
ReplyDeleteI've also heard Heroes will get a 13 episode final season, so maybe we'll get something similar to what was planned last year, w/ both shows getting 13 eps, w/ Heroes in the fall and Chuck taking over in January
ReplyDeleteThanks to the NFL Draft for killing NBC's ratings on Thursday which make Chuck's ratings look better. Cancelling Chuck becomes more difficult when Community just got a 1.7 and it's been renewed.
ReplyDeleteIf only they would have spread the draft Tuesday through Thursday for about five weeks.
-Matt
Also, as it warms up, ratings drop. It was a long winter and now people are going out to enjoy the warmth. Hopefully CHUCK returns to ratings better than a 1.9. We will see. The show never seems to benefit from time off.
ReplyDeleteYou just have to tell everyone you know to watch Chuck Mondays. If the Show is half as good as the Sneek Peaks then we are in for a true treat. The latest is the Heart to Heart dream spinoff with Morgan I can not stop walkering around and chuckling.
ReplyDeleteTeaser 8 Crashing a Party. I think that It would be Casey crashing the party and Ellie kicking him out because of her believing that he got drunk and exposed himself.
I gotta agree with Magnus on the renewal situation. Until the announcement of renewal is made, don't relax.
ReplyDeleteI can remember the situation of Fox's "Dark Angel" several years ago. One day it looked good. The next day bad. The next day good. That was upfront week. In the end, it got canceled because Fox picked up Firefly instead.
Diane
Number 8. Can't help but think back to Chuck vs. The First Date, when Casey literally crashes the date with the Vic. Probably not related in any way to this episode though. "Somebody order take-out?"
ReplyDeleteHi,for me as an US-outsider it difficult to do something for the ratings, so what about hulu and nbc. Does it help to watch the epidsodes online again and again, i think there are the so called live+7 ratings? What about that?thx
ReplyDeleteBasti, not really. At least not right now. Best thing those outside of the US can do is encourage those who live in the US, via the Internet, to watch live.
ReplyDeleteMike, yes. That is why your comment was rejected.
ReplyDeletedid anyone ever think that for number 6 Chuck is still not over the fact that he killed someone... although he did kill shaw(which i loved) he didnt even like to shoot a gun so killing someone might have set him back a bit. Orhe may not be out of the spy game yet like he wants too hence the hump being the spy world
ReplyDeleteThanks Magnus,
ReplyDeleteLove what you're doing here. Thanks for keeping things interesting for all us Chuck fans Tuesday through Sunday (and during those long breaks).
-Mike
This is pretty brilliant, Magnus. It goes way beyond anything I've ever read about why people feel so strongly about the show:
ReplyDeletehttp://chuckthisblog.wordpress.com/2010/04/24/why-chuck-and-sarah-matter/
Charles Wheldon
Charles, I agree with the description of what went wrong with C/S in season 3 to date and what was right about them in seasons 1 and 2. I'm not sure I buy all the importance this post places on these fictional characters, no matter how much I love them and wish they were indeed real, they are, alas, still inventions of the writers on a given day in the writers room. But the poetry of C/S and what drew us to them and the show was spot on.
ReplyDeleteTeaser 9??
ReplyDeleteIt is just too spoilery to reveal. ;)
