15: Casey: Joining Jeffster as their new manager, the Other Colonel! 16: Morgan? To ask her if he can go to Rome as Team Barstowki member? 17: Well, I'll pass, will keep it for myself!
15) I think Morgan gets a new hobby 16) I guess that Chuck will ask her to bring back Casey to join team Bartowski. 17) it's Casey because i think i saw him at the big march promo.
Thanks for the continuing teasers Magnus! My guesses:
15) Casey gives up on the Bonsai tree stuff. 16) Morgan. Who else would interrupt? 17) Jeff. He's into the kinky stuff.
BTW, after 3.13 airs, are you going to do a recap on the teasers so we can see what you were referring to? I think that would be muy entertaining... ;o)
Paul, as I said before, I will let you all guess what applied to what and then confirm you are right. It should give us something to do for a few days since we will be waiting THREE WEEKS for a new episode after 3.13.
15) Sarah learns to play video games... 16) Morgan 17) my first thought had to do with Chuck and Sarah alone together but that would not work on a family show such as Chuck.....
15)I think we're gonna see a bromance developing between Morgan and Casey. I've envisioned a Swayze "Ghost" moment while they prune a bonsai tree together. 16)Awesome gets amped up on energy drinks and tackles Sarah during a briefing. Go Bruins! 17)I need to keep my mind out of the gutter, and so do you!
So Sarah and Shaw have a sex in this episode rigth? The Crazy Shipper dont like this, but I dont know why like this just a simple shipper.
I mean i have a theory what will happen in this episode, but only this is the Sam-Shaw sex is hard for me :( .
Sorry my Bad englis I'm from Hungary :)
So. I see the promo, I think when Chuck go to Save Sarah He see Sarah and Shaw make out. If you see He's face you see he wonder like WTF?! And jus like Sarah in epside 11 , he think Sarah Chose Shaw. The question is Sarah realy doit or just looke like, like she tell Shaw sorry but I can't doit because I love Chuck. And Thats Why Shaw Attack later Chuck in the episode, But Sarah still belive Shaw until that moment. or Sarah sty with Shaw until that moment.
1. Casey 2. Morgan 3. It's a play on words. Refers to a phrase that people apply to a type of relationship that people get into and that's all I'm going to say.
15. Roan Montgomery returns and takes up snowboarding. 16. A drug lord from an unnamed South American country comes in with his men to take Beckman's building over...because Sarah's father pulled another Lichtenstein and sold it to them. 17. Vincent rises from the grave yet again and returns, except this time he's permanently chained to Jill. He kind of enjoys it.
15) Maybe Morgan seeing as he is contemplating leaving the buymore 16) Casey maybe? I dont know why yet? 17) Sarah and Shaw, she is figuratively tied up in the situation, somewhat distracting her from the decision she needs to make regarding Chuck??
-I don't know? I was never good at guessing games?
I’m going with Casey as his ‘old hobby’ was always his bonsai tree. Wonder what the new hobby is.
I do, however, like a PP guess of Sarah taking up video games :D
Teaser 16: Someone disrupts a General Beckman briefing.
I think Shaw. He did something really similar to that in this past episode, basically telling Beckman the way the Ring infilteration was going to go. Apparently dying was more acceptable than just getting intel and living. WTH is up with him anyhow??
Teaser 17: Someone gets tied up and isn’t entirely unhappy about it.
I was going to say Awesome, but I see he’s not in the episode. Hrm, maybe Big Mike gets tied up with something so he can’t attend to a more pressing managerial matter at the Buy More, and since we all know the kind of manager Big Mike is, well, suffice to say, he could care less about not taking care of his manager duty. Total stab in the dark.
Damn, Ellie and Awesome aren't in 3x13. Then maybe it is Morgan who interrupts Beckman. He's infiltrated her office and rises up behind her chair while eating from a box of crunchies.
The name Daniel Shaw is taken from the sleeper assasin in The Manchurian Candidate whose name was Raymond Shaw. The movie centers around Raymond Shaw who is taken prisoner during the Korean War, becomes a POW, and is then brainwashed by the Chinese. When he and his fellow soldiers come back Shaw is awarded the medal of honor and all of his soldiers say "Raymond Shaw is the kindest, bravest, warmest, most wonderful human being I've ever known in my life." I remember a certain Indian with a Bay City Rollers haircut uttering a similar line about Morgan in 3.05.
The writers told us everything that we needed to know about Shaw's descent into madness and attempted murder in his second episode and no one noticed it. I wonder if there are any other little clues that have been left this season.
Just a quick question, at the end of the episode, do you think that chuck knows that sarah chose him and not shaw? does he realised that shaw has lured sarah away on whatever reason? I know that he will go and try and save sarah but will he find out that she was going to meet him at the station. I think if you told me it would just be informing me if I understood the episode.
15 - Lots to pick from, but Casey and the bonsai tree sounds like a good one.
16 - Here's a COMPLETELY new one I'm surprised no one's suggested yet: The Director breaks into the briefing to draw Chuck into a trap by revealing Sarah's location; because he doesn't want Shaw, but is manipulating him as a means to seize The Intersect. Based on his hologram thingamabob he has access to some SERIOUSLY advanced technology. And I mean come ON, just how bad ass would that make him if he could intercept and break into what MUST be a heavily encrypted communications line.
17 - I don't have a very original idea for this one, so based on what's known about 3x14 I'm going to go with Chuck and Sarah in the euphemistic meaning of "tied down."
15) Casey gives Awesome his little bonsai tree to center himself and Calm Awesome down because Chuck still has not left. Awesome has since stripped the little tree of any signs of vegitation. Awesomes new Hobby. 16) Chuck interupts General Beckman again. Chuck still has no respect for Military ethics. But this time it is because he found a meatball from his Subway Sandwich being hijacked by two fun loving roches Daniel and Shaw. "Splat" 17) Jeff gets ties up. He and Lester after sucesfully stalking Kitty watches her get tied up and they try to recreate the event.
Sam04 - I'll see your Manchurian Candidate - and I'll raise you: Chuck's mom or dad is somehow part of the plot - along with Eve Shaw... hmmm... and Jeff and Lester - are undercover FBI agents.
If Shaw has been brainwashed - then why did they try to assassinate him - so many times early in the season? [ To properly establish his cover??]
Amrit - I think you've nailed the final piece: Chuck doesn't know Sarah's decision. All he knows is that she's with him now.
Where do you think Casey's is going to be? I'm certain that he gets teamed up with Morgan... their juxtaposition is fantastic.
Magnus - you've not commented on many of the latest attempts to guess the clues[???] So I'll throw my hat in with one that's already been posted... Morgan, Morgan, and Morgan.
I just think you'd amuse yourself at our expense by giving clues for just one character.
pooja,,, well posting a comment for the first time, I think morgan disturbs meeting with GB while she is trying to locate chuck nd sarah, nd he just asks her to leave the love birds to themself, making GB understand the value of true love,,, just a time pass guess..................... enjoy guys
magnus, any good april fools chuck stuff going on today? between your teasers, the spolilers je sais de, the end of 3.12, and the official synopsis, I am lost - but for the sport of it:
I was wondering if we are ever going to know anything more about what General Beckman said to the Zippo Flicking Shaw in that earlier episode about 'they need to know, it's too dangerous'. I keep thinking that is going to be a big thing with where this is all going, but it seems the scene happened, never to be referenced again!
Christine, some things must remain unsaid until the audience has seen it. People think they know what is coming based on some spoilers but do they? Is there a massive surprise in store? Hmmmmm. You never know.
also hope those dvd's Shaw got from 3 Words and First Class come back into play. I m slowly getting to the point where I m convinced those were ahem Shaw home movies or something :p
Btw magnus, what's the total number of teasers? 20?
Magnus, few weeks ago you told me: "Bluth, I think you will get a very, very happy Sarah very, very soon." Will she start to be very happy in episode thirteen, or is it something that we'll see in the back six?
"Is there a massive surprise in store?"
Beckman is behind Eve's death. She had a thing for Shaw, so she arranged things for Eve's death :)
Anonymous, if that even is your name, there are more than 20 but I may hold some of them back for being too spoilery. I am asking some other SSFI types to submit their own teasers. So, we shall see if we get more or less than 20.
Agreed. Canadians are douchies when it comes to promos. I recommend NOT watching the Canadian promo unless you really want to have one of the best moments ruined for you.
Of course Magnus, I read your advice and immediately went to youtube. I guess I'll just have to get messed up enough in order to forget what was spoiled until after it happens.
And really Canada? I don't care if he has a thick Canuckin accent, anythings gotta be better than hearing "ON AN ALL NEW CHUCK" every time. The guy reminds me of the Will Ferrel voice imodulation SNL skit
Heehee....actually Magnus, I'm a Floridian (by way of Ohio) who's goal in life is to become a transplanted Coloradan. Canada is too much like a bizzaro whitebread version of the US for my tastes...besides I can't stand the metric system. I'd never get by there... :oP
I won't even try to guess on these teasers, they're so vague and ambiguous, no way i'm gonna nail it, even seeing all the promos i had half of them wrong last week...
But Sam04's comment about "Shaw's descent into madness" made me realize what piece i always thought was missing. But after rewatching 3x05 i realized that it wasn't missing, i just forgot... So there's a few interesting questions raised and i look forward to hopefully having some of them answered in next week's episode. For instance:
- After Shaw himself, his wive was IN the Ring. Was she really a double agent? Why did the CIA want her dead then?
- On which side was he back then? What was the mistake that he said HE made that got his wife killed?
- It seems Shaw really studied thoroughly the files of them all. So could it really be he missed it that Sarah killed his wife? Maybe the name of the mark in her "red test" wasn't in her file, but it should at least rise his suspicions that it was the exact date of his wifes death and in the same city (From what we've seen in the Flashback in the end of 3x11 Paris - French road sign, Paris Metro map...)?
- So was it a mere coincidence that Chucks first solo-mission took place in Paris too(ok, tecnically it was on the airplane TO Paris), the same city where i suppose was Sarah's first solo mission?
- Why was the intel that they had on the Ring just on the discs and not uploaded to the mainframe like we learned in 3x09?
- Who is "Max", the person Eve Shaw is talking to in the video footage shown?
- Who called Shaw when he woke up in the hospital? Is it the Ring director, after all he said he'll stay in touch...
- Why was the mole killed in the final exam? Wouldn't it be wiser to take him in and learn what he know on the Ring? Or did Shaw (he's the one that gave the order) know what he was carrying and didn't want nobody to know about?
- Was the whole suicide mission just to get the evidence distroyed?
- Was his "Noooo" cry because he just found out what happend, or did he know all along and it was more the disapointment that somebody found out what he's up to?
- In other words was he playing team Bartowski and especially Sarah all season long? Was he after all just trying to get Chuck killed? Along the lines of "You took from me what i loved, so i'm gonna take from you what you love"
If it really is what i think it could be, then it's just pure genius from the writers. And a shame that they, because of the budget-cut and the short original order, had to rush it that much...
But no matter what, i already know that i'm gonna enjoy the next episode a LOT, and cant wait until i finally see it!!!
Anonymous, if that even is your name, I wasn't lying when I said it. I simply confused the scene with another. When I realized my mistake, I decided to not correct it unless someone asked. :)
18. Deception will lead to a death: The Director of the ring is a misterious calculating individual obsessed with power. For five years she has been choosing spys who can really fill out a pair of slacks. She sent a young spy who happened to look like her out to a prearranged meeting that she set up to get killed so that she could have ultimate power and get rid of Mr. Stiffy. Yes Eve Shaw is the director of the Ring the man you saw was her PLI. When she finds out that Daniel has a PLI she becomes jealous and wants to add another stiffy to her collection. She saw Sarah in the princess Leah outfit and felt she would make a good slave. Daniel is such a lousy spy that he thinks that the ring leader had surgery to make himself look like Eve because he was jealous that eve did not pick him so Daniel kills the director of the ring who he thought looked like his wife but wasn's but acutally is. They take Shaw out of the compound shacking and mumbling Salamander.
Oh my Magnus, have you watched the Canadian promo for this episode? Trust me it won't make you feel any better about these promoters competence ... jeez, show the whole freaking plot why don't ya?!
Be careful people, I'm a freaking Canadian! But what will play in my favor is that I'm a freaking FRENCH Canadian, But yeah! I concurred with you Guys, the Canadian promos are not as prude as your American promo....
Be the way Bree, where the heck did you found your hilarious idea for the teaser 18?
For me, I'm thinking that what will happen for teaser 18 is after all the convincing that Chuck made on behalf of Sarah, knowing that it's wasn't her fault that she killed his wife, Shaw still want Sarah dead, So Chuck, deceived by Shaw attitude and realized that he have no choice to kill him to protect Sarah!
And for all of you who's calling us Canadian douchies and I mean our freakish leader himself, I'm forgiving you. Tomorrow is Good Friday after all! And we did won the Gold at the Olympic Hockey Game ;)
lol whoever put together that Canadian promo must think were as dumb as they are, that is so easy to put together. For gods sake, why don't they just show someone dying and who killed them? Sigh
This is why I wasn't going to watch any promos but I have no will power
18) "Something is off..." CIA has been completely compromised by the Ring. We've not seen a replacement for CIA director Graham. Sarah's "red test" alone is proof that not everything is as it seems in the CIA. This is the dangerous information that Shaw and Beckman are discussing at the end of 3x02, and that they decided to withold for Chuck and Sarah.
I can not believe that Beckman is a player for the Ring. Which leaves the entire CIA. In the end the deception causes Shaw to be killed.
Diane, I have no clue what kind of fans you think the majority of those who enjoy this show are but they are NOT those who dig into every spoiler and try to figure out the show before seeing every promo. So, far more people don't know those things you seem to think only idiots wouldn't know.
I hope this isn't too derogatory for the blog but I just watched Yvonne on Attack of the Show and I have to say the male host is a buffoon. He even closed by saying Chuck is on ABC. Yvonne is a true pro to sit through 5 minutes. I hope Zac has a better experience on Leno.
Apart from the final scene in the Canadian promo I didn't think it really gave away much more than any reasonable person would have deduced was going to happen in this episode anyway, particularly if they'd seen the US version already...
When you see the episode, you will realize that they spoiled something big. See, you should be able to see a promo and not have a major shocker of a moment ruined for you. A promo should entice you to watch while maintaining ALL of the twists so that when a setup happens 30 minutes before the moment you saw in the promo, you don't already know it is a setup.
I really don't care if I know or not. It's just fun to see what people are guessing on here and have Magnus mess with us.
Oh, I did see the Canadian promo before I read on here that I shouldn't watch it. Damn, really wish I wouldn't have seen it now. They always have a different promo than NBC, but never as spoilery as this one. Don't watch it if you want everything to be a complete surprise. Which I did, now I'm bummed.
About that Attack of the Show interview. They showed two extended videoclips from future episodes(one is from the next one I think) - so a note of caution if you don't like spoilers and still want to see an interview with Yvonne.
The next two teasers will likely be hidden as they will essentially spoil something... at least for those who have not been reading tons of spoilers and THINK they know what happens. :)
Magnus, so you're gonna lead us on another easter egg hunt for the last couple clues huh? Well, I guess that's appropriate considering that Sunday is Easter... :o)
Damn--I'm away this weekend on a ski trip son not as much time for figuring out teasers :-).
I didn't think the canadian promo gave much away if you've been following the general spoilery discussions around. I suppose those who only watch NBC promos and nothing more might have been surprised.
I'm digging some of these answers, Magnus. But clearly, 90 percent of them are based on the promos...thank God I didn't see the Canadian version. -John
Well it's ok, casual viewers don't hunt out promos from other countries and every talkshow appearance the people from Chuck make. People that do that are gonna watch regardless so, no biggie.
Magnus, I remain unspoiled (or defiled, if I were Jeff). My lack-of-tv status keeps me a Chuck spoiler virgin. Geez, that sounds super lame. With all this revved up hype, I hope the ep registers a 3.0 on the demo. (not likely)
I don't have anymore outrageous speculations to make...but based on the amount of episodes left, I can tell that the writers have a substantial amount of angst and drama left for us. Am I off base on that prediction?
John, there will always be angst on this show... so it depends on what type of angst you are talking about. There is tons of drama in store but also lots of comedy. The final six episodes should be like a brand new season of awesomeness. If we can't get new or more viewers at that point, then we were never going to get them.
No, you answered my question, Magnus. Thanks. I knew that some good stuff would have to go down in the last few eps. I remember watching Season 2, and the last 5 episodes were fast-paced, action-packed, and full of twists and turns. I'd love to see that same kind of energy.
well guess the Bonnie Hunt clip spoiled the 'tied up' teaser. i think nbc is doing it to entice more fans even if die-hards figure everything out [or most everything] before the actual episode airs. putting out a ton of promo's and clips/teasers creates more excitment and ruins the episode only if you piece it all together. Thanks for the teasers!
Anyone find it odd that Sarah can send a tracking signal from her phone but can't a signal to call Chuck?
I think the awesomeness of the back 6 will depend on whether they've given up the ridiculous angst athon they've insisted on. Chris Fedak's interview with Mo Ryan defending the Shaw debacle made me think they are somewhat tone deaf this season. Don't know that will change in the back 6 all of a sudden.
Magnus: "there will always be angst on this show... so it depends on what type of angst you are talking about."
Jimbo: "I think the awesomeness of the back 6 will depend on whether they've given up the ridiculous angst athon they've insisted on."
Jimbo, if you say "angst" it doesn't mean you are talking about the Chuck/Sarah relationship. If you are talking about the relationship and you say "angst", it doesn't mean you are talking about "the same old type of angst". I know JS and CF insisted a lot on that kind of angst, but they also said that they know there is a limit. We don't know what happens in episode 13, and we are already complaining about the back six.
By the way, I'm just saying, but maybe you could read "something" in the last Magnus' remark: "I think everyone needs a new hobby in the back six".
About the great amount of angst. Of course I didn't like it, I'm a shipper :) But when there is so much angst, but really really too much. When you start to think Oh my, this is too much, well don't you see where all this is going? :)
I have watched the spoilers but find that I can not sequence the apoilers. So I am going to love the angst. Chuck and Sarah stop talking about running away together because Sarah finds surviellance video of the night Chuck dropped his towel and everytime she thinks about it she starts laughing. While seeking the assistance of spirits Bryce appears to Chuck and and tells him that because of WB Sarah can not have sex with anybody, leaving out the exception of Chuck. So to calm himself Chuck finds a new hobby, studying the spy book how to change the world without weapons and educate others without towels.
"Sarah finds surviellance video of the night Chuck dropped his towel and everytime she thinks about it she starts laughing."
Lol :) I don't know, I think she'd like it. :) By the way, I'm expecting steamy stuff between them in the close future :) You know... three years. Lol. Sorry :)
"Sarah... I should have made it least amount of votes wins. ;)"
If as Nick says the next episode is the I love you one, then do you think Sarah actually shows it verbally or physically (i.e. in a form of a kiss and some other new territory)? With all that is going on it seems such a lot is gonna be crammed in to this episode.
I went back to one of your older podcasts where PresofBuymoria(I think it was) commented on the lack of what the loss of Graham meant to Sarah, both on a proffesional and personal level. And I agree that was an opportunity lost in both merits. Without bothering to explain anything they just smoothly made Beckman DNI in a few conversational moments of season two and three, which would explain why Sarah would have to answer to her and none of her alternative CIA directors(and which is of course why our agents are suttling to and from DC and not Langley or Fort Meade).
So far season three seems to have failed a bit in making the Ring the big baddie that they might could've been. It's not taken beyond the personal level of intrigue and suspence. I guess I fear that 3X13 won't elevate it beyond Shaw, Sarah, Beckman and Chuck. The only believeable significant personal interest that's in the show has been the interest in, and threat to, the intersect and by default to Chuck as well. And by now I think people are starting to forget that Chuck is supposed to be in mortal danger at any turn because of what's lodged in his head.
I guess what I'm getting at is that I hope 3x13 will elevate the Ring to something more sinister and potent than what it's been so far in season three. And not just some plot within a plot of who played who in the Shaw/Eve/Sarah story. It should be Chuck that's running from the Ring and not Shaw or Sarah :)
Otter, I don't know if I would say about the same. It will be different. But since certain fans always need to complain about something, I am sure The Ring will be one of those things.
I'm not complaining Magnus. You saying that the Ring wouldn't have that much of an emphasis would've been enough without you drawing the conclusion that I was complaining.
Even you must have portions of the show that you wished the writers would emphasize more on, without that meaning that you're dissatisfied with the stuff they've given you so far. I would never presume to be able to spin a tale that could best the writers of the show or tell them how to do it properly.
I think I'll enjoy episode 13 even though I've set myself up to expect stuff that's not in it, if it where so the show would be too predictable and I would not have enjoyed it at all. I've not invested anything into the show beyond what I've been given. And what I've been given is a solid rock among the rabble of pebbles that is other shows on TV at the moment.
I come here to ease my curiosity about what is to come, not to complain.
Eirik, the difference between my complaints about the show and many others is that I don't bring demands to episodes. I loved Shaw for two episodes. Then lost that love when he started to not be a compelling character. I was very interested in The Ring until it started to seem like nothing more than Fulcrum 2. But I am always ready for the show to bring me back from the edge. And I tend to do that with any show I love. I don't anticipate that it will disappoint me. But sometimes it does. :)
In any event, I wasn't attacking what you said, just making an observation about the new trend: complaining about The Ring.
Now that we have some idea of what's going to go on in this upcoming episode (I think). I'm wondering will Sarah giving Shaw her real name every come back to hunt her? Another thing, will she ever tell Chuck her name directly? I know he already knows it but I'm sure he's not going to use it unless she gives him a sign that it's ok. He'd never step on her toes. Guess I have too much time tonight to think. :-)
Thanks Magnus! Like I said, I have way too much time on my hands tonight and don't worry I'm not one of those fans that is going to complain about what may come next. I like the roller coaster ride the writers have us on. Come on, gives us that number 20 hint....pretty please. :-D
To those who have figured out what 20 says but don't know what it means... that is the riddle, baby. You have just started the puzzle. Now, do some critical thinking... and maybe some digging. Perhaps you will find more clues to what it means.
well i got one more guess im sorry im 17 and going on a three day college tour starting tommorrow so unfortunately i will be missing chuck and wont be able to see it til thursday. There is this song called lucky love that happens to have all those words in it i doubt it. or the scream refers to chucks scream in the promo its about sarah and maybe well idk about the bridge named fear.sorry if i am bugging you but ive been a fan of the show since the begin and have prolly seen every episode at least like 6 times
ooo wait sorry and the bridge of fear is maybe that chuck thinks sarah is dying sarah thinks she is too and because she is experiencing fear professes her love for him
Well, there is a great room for interpretation here based on your rather cryptic clue :) But I think it would be an awesome callback to the kiss in vs the Imported Hard Salami.
Maybe everyone else has already realized this but I feel a sense of accomplishment after re-watching 3x12. After Shaw wakes up and puts on the ring, it's more than just him showing that he's taking sides with his wife, but is actually symbolism that Shaw is now a part of the ring. Too clever!
Artemis, and others, you have translated it correctly... well, almost. The first word can be what you all think it is... but it also means something else. :)
Magnus, I've been thinkig about the translation of #20:
1) Krichat' (using latin vs cryllic) = "to shout" or maybe "to proclaim" 2) Astin Min = "my love" I think this one is straight forward. 3) Un Ponts Nomme Peur = "A bridge named fear". It think this one is what is trippig people up. Those of us who inhabit the boards know the climax scene takes place in Paris and likely on a bridge. However, I think you are being sneaky and the last part is a metaphor instead of a real bridge. It could be a metaphor for a "bridge" that someone is afraid to cross. I think this whole riddle refers to Sarah's fear of verbalizing her emotions (the bridge she's afraid to cross), and that she will finally proclaim (shout) her love for Chuck in this episode....probably in the last scene (hotel room where she is wearing his waiter shirt). Okay, I'm probably digging way too deep and am way off, but that's my theory. :o)
magnus, I have been playing around with this manchurian candidate theory, great fanfic, the end would imply shaw has sarah under gunpoint, with eve standing next to sarah, shaw points the gun at sarah, boom, next thing we see is chuck saying nooooo, but it is eve who falls dead, and then shaw points the gun to himself and pulls the trigger. Eve is the Mrs iselman character?, daniel shaw's handler. Explains routh's acting the entire while, he may be nailing the raymond shaw role from 1962?
I am not rejecting any comment... just not going to approve them until tomorrow. And then you can all see who got closest. Though, Lispill seems to be the first to put the multiple clues together. But one person nailed it outright. Almost like they were in my head. :)
So Sarah gets paralyzed and dragged to a bridge by Shaw, Chuck comes in, Sarah can't do anything, except maybe scream something, Chuck goes all guns blazing, big damn hero moment 2 (1st one being last episode), Shaw is presumably Chuck's first kill.
Hello magnus, I'm a fan of "Chuck" from Portugal, so excuse my poor English! Just wanted to say I love your podcast and blog... keep up the good work!!! Also I wonder if your teaser 20, is about epi nº 3.13? Greetings from Portugal, for all American fans of "Chuck"!!!
This is Matt. Was I the one who nailed it? That "cry" word took me forever. If I'm right I won't say a word. Just curious that you said I was the first to get the first word right then said one person was right on. (you don't have to post this, just looking for a "yes, Matt is right on") -Matt
Matt, you were not the person I was talking about. But you got one bit very right. Another person got it right too and tied it with another clue. So, the two of you were probably one critical thought from getting it. But the person who got it nailed it exactly.
Sarah senses danger, Shaw is the danger, Sarah is maybe incapacitated by Shaw, Chuck comes in trying to save her, he's too emotional to flash so Sarah ends up shooting Shaw?
Best I could come up with based on 20 and the tweet, probably missing a clue somewhere?
Hey I like teaser 21, I am thinking maybe what I want to happen will actually happen? Could it be?? I definitely think Chuck is gonna get very defensive over Sarah though.
Fernando, the first I selected because you couldn't just copy and paste it in a search (plus it is a language my father speaks and reads). The second I speak. The third is not a coincidence.
Umm 21 are partial hints right? We 're supposed to find the missing parts to form coherent sentences?
And please for the love of all that is good don't authorize and downright spoilers from the Con people, I m off twitter just to make sure I don't get any huge spoilers before tomorrow.
21 is a short little poem. :) And no worries, I will not be authorizing any spoiler comments until the episode has aired. I know a lot of people read this site who do not want to be spoiled beyond this little teaser game.
OK! :) I have suspected that when you used the "French", that could not be coincidence! Thanks for being different and do not just "dump" the spoilers out there ... thinking beyond the obvious, it's best!
Hi Magnus, I'm from Argentina, i've been reading ur blog this past few weeks, and i'm having a lot of fun with the teasers! I think i tranlated the 20# clue: "Cry my love, a bridge name fear"?
Hi Magnus, Lola again. About 21#, Its about Chuck protecting Sarah no matter what? he nothing but a dove, "chuck", aka the david, would fight and win a goliath if someone threaten Sara? or if he thinks Sarah is in danger...
So as a 2nd part of the guess: does this mean chuck will defeat, possibly kill someone (pls let it be Shaw!) because Sarah is in danger?
I hope i made myself understand :) - sorry for the english, my native language is Spanish).
I love the teaser game you people play here. Its spoiler free, but you all have fun speaculating together... its nice.
So it seems that intel and bits of eps 13 are starting to leak into the net... sadly... so if you want to remain spoiler free (or at least be surprise when watching it live), avoid surfing till tomorrow night. I can point out the sites to avoid if you want...
Too late Magnus :( I came across something and couldn't resist it :((((. It's like finding chocolate cake in the fridge, there's no way you are gonna walk away from it!
15: Casey
ReplyDelete16: Morgan
17: Lester
3) Sounds like a Jeff and Lester thing.
ReplyDeleteOK, first try, to see if I'm a gamer!
ReplyDelete15: Casey: Joining Jeffster as their new manager, the Other Colonel!
16: Morgan? To ask her if he can go to Rome as Team Barstowki member?
17: Well, I'll pass, will keep it for myself!
MHR19
17) I can't say it. Minors around.
ReplyDelete15) I think Morgan gets a new hobby
ReplyDelete16) I guess that Chuck will ask her to bring back Casey to join team Bartowski.
17) it's Casey because i think i saw him at the big march promo.
Ps sorry for my english
Greekfan
15) Casey
ReplyDelete16) Morgan
17) Jeff
Can't wait for more teasers!
greek fan...
ReplyDeletecasey getting tied up was in the fake name :/
Thanks for the continuing teasers Magnus! My guesses:
ReplyDelete15) Casey gives up on the Bonsai tree stuff.
ReplyDelete15) Sarah learns to play video games...
ReplyDelete16) Morgan
17) my first thought had to do with Chuck and Sarah alone together but that would not work on a family show such as Chuck.....
NB
Casey gets his job back
ReplyDelete15)I think we're gonna see a bromance developing between Morgan and Casey. I've envisioned a Swayze "Ghost" moment while they prune a bonsai tree together.
ReplyDelete16)Awesome gets amped up on energy drinks and tackles Sarah during a briefing. Go Bruins!
17)I need to keep my mind out of the gutter, and so do you!
Give me some love, Magnus.
~John
Interesting... I don't think a single guess is remotely accurate so far.
ReplyDeleteI guess I'll go for answers that aren't the most obvious since they have not been right.
ReplyDelete15) Lester or Awesome
16) Shaw or Sarah
17) Morgan
So Sarah and Shaw have a sex in this episode rigth? The Crazy Shipper dont like this, but I dont know why like this just a simple shipper.
ReplyDeleteI mean i have a theory what will happen in this episode, but only this is the Sam-Shaw sex is hard for me :( .
Sorry my bad englis but i hope you understood :)
szollo09
Aren't teaser 16 and 6 pretty much the same thing?
ReplyDeleteLet me clarify, no 3-answers have been right. Individual ones may be right. :)
ReplyDeleteAnd szollo09... you may not be a crazy shipper but you may be crazy if you think that is what happens.
heh Sarah and Shaw aren't going to be having sex, for teaser 17, I will keep it PG but I think I have a pretty good idea....
ReplyDelete15 is Morgan finding a world outside the Buy More
16 is Chuck demanding his team is Sarah and Casey
17 is the Chuck you have all been waiting for
Joe
Joe, good guesses. You got zero correct. ;)
ReplyDelete1. Casey
ReplyDelete2. Morgan
3. It's a play on words. Refers to a phrase that people apply to a type of relationship that people get into and that's all I'm going to say.
Diane
I realize now that people don't realize how this episode is going to go. This is good. People are going to be surprised. :)
ReplyDelete15)Casey
ReplyDelete16)Morgan
17)Casey
J
Magnus you are evil. No one will ever get teaser 15. Some won't get it even after they see the episode lol!
ReplyDeleteJess, I figure if anyone gets mad at me for making it too difficult, I will just send their complaints to you... since it is your teaser. :)
ReplyDelete15. Roan Montgomery returns and takes up snowboarding.
ReplyDelete16.
"Magnus you are evil. No one will ever get teaser 15. Some won't get it even after they see the episode lol!"
ReplyDeleteIt's a mathematical certainty that someone will get it, there's a finite number of characters in the show :p
15) Maybe Morgan seeing as he is contemplating leaving the buymore
ReplyDelete16) Casey maybe? I dont know why yet?
17) Sarah and Shaw, she is figuratively tied up in the situation, somewhat distracting her from the decision she needs to make regarding Chuck??
-I don't know? I was never good at guessing games?
Hey Magnus, here are my guesses...
ReplyDeleteTeaser 15: Someone gets a new hobby.
Total stab in the dark.
eh I have no clue, as long as it isn't a very creepy scene of Jeff being tied up by Lester or something, I really don't need to see that
ReplyDeleteJoe
1) Big Mike drops fishing and joins a Yoga class.
ReplyDelete2) Ellie enters Chucks livingroom while Beckman is all over his TV screen giving a breefing on the latest info on Shaw's wherabouts.
3) Morgan and Casey is tied up together back to back, and instead of freaking out Morgan is really exited that his spy life is finally taking off.
Eirik
Damn, Ellie and Awesome aren't in 3x13. Then maybe it is Morgan who interrupts Beckman. He's infiltrated her office and rises up behind her chair while eating from a box of crunchies.
ReplyDeleteEirik
15) Shaw! He tries using facial expressions. He thinks it makes his face feel funny after. Figures it's just better sticking to creepy.
ReplyDelete16) Morgan. Quits the Buy More and heads over to OO and interupts Chuckles talking to GB and wants in on the mish.
17) Casey. Cause he's so damn excited to be back in the thick of it, he doesn't care if he's getting his arse kicked cause he feels alive again.
Crash
Sam04:
ReplyDeleteThe name Daniel Shaw is taken from the sleeper assasin in The Manchurian Candidate whose name was Raymond Shaw.
My Guess is:
ReplyDelete15. Morgan
16. Morgan
17. Morgan
Everyone else will be too busy trying to find Sarah and stop Shaw.
Well I'll give it a whirl
ReplyDelete15) Chuck- a couple of different "hobbies" come to mind.
16) Casey
17) The Ring Director
Kirby
Hi Magnus,
ReplyDeleteJust a quick question, at the end of the episode, do you think that chuck knows that sarah chose him and not shaw? does he realised that shaw has lured sarah away on whatever reason? I know that he will go and try and save sarah but will he find out that she was going to meet him at the station. I think if you told me it would just be informing me if I understood the episode.
Cheers
Amrit
15 - Lots to pick from, but Casey and the bonsai tree sounds like a good one.
ReplyDelete16 - Here's a COMPLETELY new one I'm surprised no one's suggested yet: The Director breaks into the briefing to draw Chuck into a trap by revealing Sarah's location; because he doesn't want Shaw, but is manipulating him as a means to seize The Intersect.
ReplyDelete16) Chuck interupts General Beckman again. Chuck still has no respect for Military ethics.
But this time it is because he found a meatball from his Subway Sandwich being hijacked by two fun loving roches Daniel and Shaw. "Splat"
17) Jeff gets ties up. He and Lester after sucesfully stalking Kitty watches her get tied up and they try to recreate the event.
Damn, Chuck needs oxygen too. I knew they couldn't find a compromise.
ReplyDelete15) Casey takes up poker as a new hobby hence the suit and cigar. Now all he needs is the scotch.
ReplyDelete16) The only person talking to Beckman this episode would be Chuck so I'd say he interrupts her.
17) Chuck gets tied up with Sarah and misses his flight to Rome. Can't say he would mind that.
Sam04 - I'll see your Manchurian Candidate -
ReplyDeleteand I'll raise you:
Chuck's mom or dad is somehow part of the plot -
along with Eve Shaw...
hmmm... and Jeff and Lester - are undercover FBI agents.
If Shaw has been brainwashed - then why did they try to assassinate him - so many times early in the season? [ To properly establish his cover??]
Amrit - I think you've nailed the final piece:
Chuck doesn't know Sarah's decision. All he knows is that she's with him now.
Where do you think Casey's is going to be?
I'm certain that he gets teamed up with Morgan...
their juxtaposition is fantastic.
Magnus - you've not commented on many of the latest attempts to guess the clues[???]
So I'll throw my hat in with one that's already been posted... Morgan, Morgan, and Morgan.
I just think you'd amuse yourself at our expense
by giving clues for just one character.
Cheers - The Gringo Chuck Fan
pooja,,,
ReplyDeletewell posting a comment for the first time, I think morgan disturbs meeting with GB while she is trying to locate chuck nd sarah, nd he just asks her to leave the love birds to themself, making GB understand the value of true love,,, just a time pass guess..................... enjoy guys
magnus, any good april fools chuck stuff going on today? between your teasers, the spolilers je sais de, the end of 3.12, and the official synopsis, I am lost - but for the sport of it:
ReplyDelete15-morgan
16-shaw
17-sarah&chuck(metaphorically)
Hi Magnus,
ReplyDeleteI was wondering if we are ever going to know anything more about what General Beckman said to the Zippo Flicking Shaw in that earlier episode about 'they need to know, it's too dangerous'. I keep thinking that is going to be a big thing with where this is all going, but it seems the scene happened, never to be referenced again!
Any insights? Thanks!
Christine, some things must remain unsaid until the audience has seen it. People think they know what is coming based on some spoilers but do they? Is there a massive surprise in store? Hmmmmm. You never know.
ReplyDeleteMagnus, you didn't post my #15 guess. Did I get close? ;o)
ReplyDeletePaul, I can neither confirm or deny. ;)
ReplyDeletealso hope those dvd's Shaw got from 3 Words and First Class come back into play. I m slowly getting to the point where I m convinced those were ahem Shaw home movies or something :p
ReplyDeleteBtw magnus, what's the total number of teasers? 20?
Magnus, few weeks ago you told me:
ReplyDelete"Bluth, I think you will get a very, very happy Sarah very, very soon."
Will she start to be very happy in episode thirteen, or is it something that we'll see in the back six?
"Is there a massive surprise in store?"
Beckman is behind Eve's death. She had a thing for Shaw, so she arranged things for Eve's death :)
Anonymous, if that even is your name, there are more than 20 but I may hold some of them back for being too spoilery. I am asking some other SSFI types to submit their own teasers. So, we shall see if we get more or less than 20.
ReplyDeleteBluth, you will know soon enough.
15.) Shaw takes up VENGEANCE to fill his long, lonely evenings and weekends.
ReplyDelete16.) Morgan, bringing the entire team some stakeout meatball marinaras. Beckman, being BigScreen!Beckman rather than InPerson!Beckman, is left out.
17.) Casey, because he's probably secretly kinky like that and getting tied up also means he's back in the spy game. ;)
Cor
"Bluth, you will know soon enough."
ReplyDeleteLol :)
15)New Hobby - Shaw - Pushing up daisies
ReplyDelete16)Disrupts Beckman - Roan pays a visit
17)Tied up - Beckman - See # 16
15. Chuck
ReplyDelete16. Chuck
17. Chuck

Damn Canadians, they always spoil too much in their promos :(
ReplyDeleteAgreed. Canadians are douchies when it comes to promos. I recommend NOT watching the Canadian promo unless you really want to have one of the best moments ruined for you.
ReplyDeleteMagnus said - "Paul, I can neither confirm or deny. ;)"
ReplyDeleteLoL...thanks for the answer. Sneaky sneaky... ;O)
Of course Magnus, I read your advice and immediately went to youtube. I guess I'll just have to get messed up enough in order to forget what was spoiled until after it happens.
ReplyDeleteAnd really Canada? I don't care if he has a thick Canuckin accent, anythings gotta be better than hearing "ON AN ALL NEW CHUCK" every time. The guy reminds me of the Will Ferrel voice imodulation SNL skit
@Stan - well the US promo's Kasey Kasem sounding dude isn't all that much better... :oP
ReplyDeletePaul just outed himself as a Canadian... because the US guy is a million times better.
ReplyDeleteStay away from Canadian promo. Jesus that was spoiler city.
ReplyDeleteHeehee....actually Magnus, I'm a Floridian (by way of Ohio) who's goal in life is to become a transplanted Coloradan. Canada is too much like a bizzaro whitebread version of the US for my tastes...besides I can't stand the metric system. I'd never get by there... :oP
ReplyDeleteI don't think I need to post any more teasers now that the Canadian promo took away any reason to... hell, no reason to even watch the episode.
ReplyDeleteOtter, this is the episode that will probably be hailed as the best of the series... so far. If that answers your question. :)
ReplyDeleteI won't even try to guess on these teasers, they're so vague and ambiguous, no way i'm gonna nail it, even seeing all the promos i had half of them wrong last week...
ReplyDeleteBut Sam04's comment about "Shaw's descent into madness" made me realize what piece i always thought was missing.
Boris
I confess I watched the promos. Both of them. My question is How many things happen in the episode? :)
ReplyDeleteWhat is Otter's question? :)
I thought you said that moment was in the back 6 or you were just lying.:)
ReplyDeleteI think 15 is Chuck.
ReplyDeleteHis new hobby is getting busy with Sarah.
I know that would be my new hobby.
-DD
Anonymous, if that even is your name, I wasn't lying when I said it. I simply confused the scene with another. When I realized my mistake, I decided to not correct it unless someone asked. :)
ReplyDeleteEven if you were lying, who could blame you. That's what a lot of people have been waiting for.
ReplyDeleteI might try to lead you down the wrong path, but I would not lie to you.
ReplyDeleteThat was me who put the lying thing forgot to put name.
ReplyDeleteOtter
ReplyDeleteOh my Magnus, have you watched the Canadian promo for this episode? Trust me it won't make you feel any better about these promoters competence ... jeez, show the whole freaking plot why don't ya?!
ReplyDeleteBe careful people, I'm a freaking Canadian! But what will play in my favor is that I'm a freaking FRENCH Canadian, But yeah! I concurred with you Guys, the Canadian promos are not as prude as your American promo....
ReplyDeleteBe the way Bree, where the heck did you found your hilarious idea for the teaser 18?
For me, I'm thinking that what will happen for teaser 18 is after all the convincing that Chuck made on behalf of Sarah, knowing that it's wasn't her fault that she killed his wife, Shaw still want Sarah dead, So Chuck, deceived by Shaw attitude and realized that he have no choice to kill him to protect Sarah!
And for all of you who's calling us Canadian douchies and I mean our freakish leader himself, I'm forgiving you. Tomorrow is Good Friday after all! And we did won the Gold at the Olympic Hockey Game ;)
MHR19
lol whoever put together that Canadian promo must think were as dumb as they are, that is so easy to put together. For gods sake, why don't they just show someone dying and who killed them? Sigh
ReplyDeleteThis is why I wasn't going to watch any promos but I have no will power
Joe
18) "Something is off..." CIA has been completely compromised by the Ring. We've not seen a replacement for CIA director Graham. Sarah's "red test" alone is proof that not everything is as it seems in the CIA. This is the dangerous information that Shaw and Beckman are discussing at the end of 3x02, and that they decided to withold for Chuck and Sarah.
ReplyDeleteI can not believe that Beckman is a player for the Ring. Which leaves the entire CIA. In the end the deception causes Shaw to be killed.
Eirik
Diane, I have no clue what kind of fans you think the majority of those who enjoy this show are but they are NOT those who dig into every spoiler and try to figure out the show before seeing every promo. So, far more people don't know those things you seem to think only idiots wouldn't know.
ReplyDeleteI hope this isn't too derogatory for the blog but I just watched Yvonne on Attack of the Show and I have to say the male host is a buffoon. He even closed by saying Chuck is on ABC. Yvonne is a true pro to sit through 5 minutes. I hope Zac has a better experience on Leno.
ReplyDeleteBad Leg
Apart from the final scene in the Canadian promo I didn't think it really gave away much more than any reasonable person would have deduced was going to happen in this episode anyway, particularly if they'd seen the US version already...
ReplyDeleteOn your next podcast you should take time to tell ABC how lucky it is to have CHUCK on it's network. ;) LOL!
ReplyDeleteOTTER
When you see the episode, you will realize that they spoiled something big. See, you should be able to see a promo and not have a major shocker of a moment ruined for you. A promo should entice you to watch while maintaining ALL of the twists so that when a setup happens 30 minutes before the moment you saw in the promo, you don't already know it is a setup.
ReplyDeleteI really don't care if I know or not. It's just fun to see what people are guessing on here and have Magnus mess with us.
ReplyDeleteOh, I did see the Canadian promo before I read on here that I shouldn't watch it. Damn, really wish I wouldn't have seen it now. They always have a different promo than NBC, but never as spoilery as this one. Don't watch it if you want everything to be a complete surprise. Which I did, now I'm bummed.
Crash
About that Attack of the Show interview. They showed two extended videoclips from future episodes(one is from the next one I think) - so a note of caution if you don't like spoilers and still want to see an interview with Yvonne.
ReplyDeleteEirik
You talken about the canadian promo magnus?
ReplyDeleteOtter
Are we still on about the Canuckleheads? Canuckleheads!
ReplyDeleteDuring the interviews they showed two sneak peeks. The rest of the season will be awesome. "Chuck" has to be renewed. Full stop.
ReplyDeleteTeasers 9. Someone asks a powerful question... and is met with silence. Is it possible that the answer is silent but... with "action"? :)
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I voted for We♥Magnus, of course :)
ReplyDeleteSarah, thank you for the vote. Just for that... I will answer your other question:
ReplyDeleteI can neither confirm nor deny that (but I will say, you are totally right to put that teaser with that scene). ;)
The next two teasers will likely be hidden as they will essentially spoil something... at least for those who have not been reading tons of spoilers and THINK they know what happens. :)
ReplyDeleteWell teaser 17 was spoiled in the Bonnie Hunt show :p
ReplyDeleteIsn't Bonnie Hunt on in a few hours?
ReplyDeleteThey also showed the Chuck/Casey conversation at the Buy More on Leno last night. Thought it was a good interview
ReplyDeleteMagnus, so you're gonna lead us on another easter egg hunt for the last couple clues huh? Well, I guess that's appropriate considering that Sunday is Easter... :o)
ReplyDeleteDamn--I'm away this weekend on a ski trip son not as much time for figuring out teasers :-).
ReplyDeleteI didn't think the canadian promo gave much away if you've been following the general spoilery discussions around. I suppose those who only watch NBC promos and nothing more might have been surprised.
I'm digging some of these answers, Magnus. But clearly, 90 percent of them are based on the promos...thank God I didn't see the Canadian version.
ReplyDelete-John
we had some severe weather here so Bonnie Hunt was replaced by weather coverage.
ReplyDeleteMagnus, I have a suspicion they are slowly leaking the entire episode bit by bit... :oP
ReplyDeleteThe Bonnie clip was so cute that I could not stop laughing. That is to bad that she went with Shaw.
ReplyDeleteJust saw Bonnie Hunt. They do show the "tied up" clip. :) I think that by the time the episode airs, there won't be much left to the imagination.
ReplyDeleteWell it's ok, casual viewers don't hunt out promos from other countries and every talkshow appearance the people from Chuck make. People that do that are gonna watch regardless so, no biggie.
ReplyDeleteMagnus, I remain unspoiled (or defiled, if I were Jeff). My lack-of-tv status keeps me a Chuck spoiler virgin. Geez, that sounds super lame. With all this revved up hype, I hope the ep registers a 3.0 on the demo. (not likely)
ReplyDeleteI don't have anymore outrageous speculations to make...but based on the amount of episodes left, I can tell that the writers have a substantial amount of angst and drama left for us.
ReplyDeleteNo, you answered my question, Magnus. Thanks. I knew that some good stuff would have to go down in the last few eps. I remember watching Season 2, and the last 5 episodes were fast-paced, action-packed, and full of twists and turns. I'd love to see that same kind of energy.
ReplyDeletewell guess the Bonnie Hunt clip spoiled the 'tied up' teaser. i think nbc is doing it to entice more fans even if die-hards figure everything out [or most everything] before the actual episode airs. putting out a ton of promo's and clips/teasers creates more excitment and ruins the episode only if you piece it all together. Thanks for the teasers!
ReplyDeleteI don't really mind if they spoil my teasers. I got them out before they did. ;)
ReplyDeleteAnyone find it odd that Sarah can send a tracking signal from her phone but can't a signal to call Chuck?
ReplyDeleteI think the awesomeness of the back 6 will depend on whether they've given up the ridiculous angst athon they've insisted on. Chris Fedak's interview with Mo Ryan defending the Shaw debacle made me think they are somewhat tone deaf this season. Don't know that will change in the back 6 all of a sudden.
Jimbo, I don't know if I am more tired of them mashing the angst button time and time again or hearing fans complain about it.
ReplyDeleteI think everyone needs a new hobby in the back six.
I really could care less about the angst I watch chuck to be entertained and I am that's why i'm addicted .
ReplyDeleteCJT
Magnus: "there will always be angst on this show... so it depends on what type of angst you are talking about."
ReplyDeleteJimbo: "I think the awesomeness of the back 6 will depend on whether they've given up the ridiculous angst athon they've insisted on."
19) They actually run away.
ReplyDeleteWell Said CJT, I'm with you 100%
ReplyDeleteI'm with Bluth for the teaser 19
Magnus, my sympathies for the lost of We♥Magnus
MHR19
19) Instead of Running Away, They eloping?
ReplyDeleteBTW the eloping idea... That was mine! Too Cheesy?
ReplyDeleteMHR19
We♥Magnus was the right term. What a pity :(
ReplyDeleteAbout the great amount of angst. Of course I didn't like it, I'm a shipper :) But when there is so much angst, but really really too much. When you start to think Oh my, this is too much, well don't you see where all this is going? :)
Of course I can be wrong. But I'm right when I say that We♥Magnus was the right term.
ReplyDeleteI have watched the spoilers but find that I can not sequence the apoilers. So I am going to love the angst.
ReplyDeleteChuck and Sarah stop talking about running away together because Sarah finds surviellance video of the night Chuck dropped his towel and everytime she thinks about it she starts laughing.
Sarah... I should have made it least amount of votes wins. ;)
ReplyDeleteBree, totally right!
"Sarah finds surviellance video of the night Chuck dropped his towel and everytime she thinks about it she starts laughing."
ReplyDeleteLol :)
I don't know, I think she'd like it. :)
By the way, I'm expecting steamy stuff between them in the close future :)
You know... three years. Lol. Sorry :)
"Sarah... I should have made it least amount of votes wins. ;)"
Next time :)
Sarah: By the way, I'm expecting steamy stuff between them in the close future :)
ReplyDeleteI think we'll have something steamy. Magnus said something like that few weeks ago. But he can neither confirm nor deny that :)
They stop talking about running away because they actually do it... ;)
ReplyDeleteSome people have really weird and ridiculous expectations. :)
ReplyDeleteNext episode is the "Sarah, do you love me?" episode!
ReplyDeleteDon't burst our bubble let us daydream?
ReplyDeleteSeriously Magnus, Are we be satisfied with Chuck vs the Other Guy?
ReplyDeleteMHR19
Nick, yes.
ReplyDeleteAnonymous, if that even if your name, don't burst your own bubble.
MHR19, yup.
My guess for 19 is they stop talking about going away and starting new lives with different names and just try to be together and be spys. Am I close?
ReplyDeleteOtter
Otter, you will know in 2-days.
ReplyDeleteHi Magnus,
ReplyDeleteIf as Nick says the next episode is the I love you one, then do you think Sarah actually shows it verbally or physically (i.e. in a form of a kiss and some other new territory)? With all that is going on it seems such a lot is gonna be crammed in to this episode.
Amrit, I don't think anything. I know what happens.
ReplyDeleteI went back to one of your older podcasts where PresofBuymoria(I think it was) commented on the lack of what the loss of Graham meant to Sarah, both on a proffesional and personal level.
ReplyDeleteSo far season three seems to have failed a bit in making the Ring the big baddie that they might could've been.
Eirik
Eirik, it sounds like you are setting yourself up for disappointment. I think we have found the next thing CHUCK fans will complain about.
ReplyDeleteSo the Ring threat will be about same going into back 6.
ReplyDeleteOtter
Otter, I don't know if I would say about the same. It will be different. But since certain fans always need to complain about something, I am sure The Ring will be one of those things.
ReplyDeleteI'm not complaining Magnus. You saying that the Ring wouldn't have that much of an emphasis would've been enough without you drawing the conclusion that I was complaining.
ReplyDeleteEven you must have portions of the show that you wished the writers would emphasize more on, without that meaning that you're dissatisfied with the stuff they've given you so far.
Eirik
Eirik, the difference between my complaints about the show and many others is that I don't bring demands to episodes. I loved Shaw for two episodes. Then lost that love when he started to not be a compelling character. I was very interested in The Ring until it started to seem like nothing more than Fulcrum 2. But I am always ready for the show to bring me back from the edge. And I tend to do that with any show I love. I don't anticipate that it will disappoint me. But sometimes it does. :)
ReplyDeleteIn any event, I wasn't attacking what you said, just making an observation about the new trend: complaining about The Ring.
ReplyDeleteNG
NG, I don't have any way of answering your question.
ReplyDeleteThanks Magnus! Like I said, I have way too much time on my hands tonight and don't worry I'm not one of those fans that is going to complain about what may come next. I like the roller coaster ride the writers have us on. Come on, gives us that number 20 hint....pretty please. :-D
ReplyDeleteNG
LOL well done Magnus! Guess I'm rusty on my high school French cause I only got some of that! U are a wise one!
ReplyDeleteNG
I just tried to figure it out using a french dictionary....it does not even recognize astin! LOL
ReplyDeleteMegan
Megan, hehehe. Did you really think I would make it that easy for you? Come on. :)
ReplyDeleteTo those who have figured out what 20 says but don't know what it means... that is the riddle, baby. You have just started the puzzle. Now, do some critical thinking... and maybe some digging. Perhaps you will find more clues to what it means.
ReplyDeleteOh yes, the final riddle has BEGUN!
Max, your guess is too broad. This is specific to the next episode, not the grand scheme of the rest of the season.
ReplyDelete20) Sarah thinks Chuck is dying or about to die, and proclaims her love for him.
ReplyDeleteEirik
well i got one more guess im sorry im 17 and going on a three day college tour starting tommorrow so unfortunately i will be missing chuck and wont be able to see it til thursday.
ReplyDeletenvm i like that eiriks guy theory mine is to broad haha
ReplyDeleteEirik and Max, interesting... we shall see what others think. :)
ReplyDeleteooo wait sorry and the bridge of fear is maybe that chuck thinks sarah is dying sarah thinks she is too and because she is experiencing fear professes her love for him
ReplyDeleteWell, there is a great room for interpretation here based on your rather cryptic clue :) But I think it would be an awesome callback to the kiss in vs the Imported Hard Salami.
ReplyDeleteEirik
"Megan, hehehe. Did you really think I would make it that easy for you? Come on. :)"
ReplyDeletehahahhahaha a girl can dream! Time to try a different way.
Megan
Maybe everyone else has already realized this but I feel a sense of accomplishment after re-watching 3x12. After Shaw wakes up and puts on the ring, it's more than just him showing that he's taking sides with his wife, but is actually symbolism that Shaw is now a part of the ring. Too clever!
ReplyDeleteLove 20. Still decoding the Russian, but the French and Icelandic are a go ;)
ReplyDeleteArtemis, and others, you have translated it correctly... well, almost. The first word can be what you all think it is... but it also means something else. :)
ReplyDeleteMatt is the first to translate the first word correctly. Nice job. :)
ReplyDeleteArtemis, I won't answer yes or no until you try to guess using your translation. :)
ReplyDeleteClose, Artemis but not perfect. :)
ReplyDeleteMagnus, I've been thinkig about the translation of #20:
ReplyDelete1) Krichat' (using latin vs cryllic) = "to shout" or maybe "to proclaim"
2) Astin Min = "my love" I think this one is straight forward.
"Cry, my love, a bridge named fear"
ReplyDeleteSarah's afraid to fall in love with Chuck because she's afraid to be heartbroken again.
screams - my love, a bridge named fear
ReplyDeletedoes 3.13 end with a cliffhanger?
From all the translations I found I think it might be:
ReplyDeleteTeaser 20 - Call out, my love, a bridge named fear.
Don't know what it means yet, one thing at a time!
magnus, I have been playing around with this manchurian candidate theory, great fanfic, the end would imply shaw has sarah under gunpoint, with eve standing next to sarah, shaw points the gun at sarah, boom, next thing we see is chuck saying nooooo, but it is eve who falls dead, and then shaw points the gun to himself and pulls the trigger. Eve is the Mrs iselman character?, daniel shaw's handler. Explains routh's acting the entire while, he may be nailing the raymond shaw role from 1962?
ReplyDeleteWell, either that or
ReplyDeleteScream, my love, a bridge named fear.
I still don't know what it means. My best guess is that a declaration o love is made at a dangerous time.
It seems Agent Sam Lisa is also pointing us in the right direction, so the teaser may say:
ReplyDeleteCry, my love, a bridge named fear
I am not rejecting any comment... just not going to approve them until tomorrow. And then you can all see who got closest. Though, Lispill seems to be the first to put the multiple clues together. But one person nailed it outright. Almost like they were in my head. :)
ReplyDeleteSo Sarah gets paralyzed and dragged to a bridge by Shaw, Chuck comes in, Sarah can't do anything, except maybe scream something, Chuck goes all guns blazing, big damn hero moment 2 (1st one being last episode), Shaw is presumably Chuck's first kill.
ReplyDeleteJ
Call out, my love on the bridge of fear??
ReplyDeleteNG
Was the one who nailed it Anonymous? Or did they leave their name?
ReplyDelete-Reaper
Reaper, named.
ReplyDeleteCry my love - a bridge named fear????
ReplyDeleteHello magnus,
ReplyDeleteI'm a fan of "Chuck" from Portugal, so excuse my poor English!
Just wanted to say I love your podcast and blog...
keep up the good work!!!
Also I wonder if your teaser 20, is about epi nº 3.13?
Greetings from Portugal, for all American fans of "Chuck"!!!
Does 20 say,
ReplyDeleteyelling (shouting?), my love, the bridge of fear?
BTW Thanks for the teasers, they're a fun distraction from the wait!
~Haylee
This is Matt. Was I the one who nailed it? That "cry" word took me forever. If I'm right I won't say a word. Just curious that you said I was the first to get the first word right then said one person was right on.
ReplyDelete(you don't have to post this, just looking for a "yes, Matt is right on")
-Matt
Matt, you were not the person I was talking about. But you got one bit very right. Another person got it right too and tied it with another clue. So, the two of you were probably one critical thought from getting it. But the person who got it nailed it exactly.
ReplyDeleteWe♥Magnus was robbed. Someone was stuffing the ballot box!
ReplyDeleteSarah senses danger, Shaw is the danger, Sarah is maybe incapacitated by Shaw, Chuck comes in trying to save her, he's too emotional to flash so Sarah ends up shooting Shaw?
ReplyDeleteBest I could come up with based on 20 and the tweet, probably missing a clue somewhere?
John
"Yell/Cry, My Love, Bridge Name Fear"?
ReplyDeleteMagnus, No comment for me?? NG
ReplyDeleteI kinda don't think it will happen, but I would like to see Chuck kill to save Sarah. I think it is the next step in his growth.
ReplyDeleteHey I like teaser 21, I am thinking maybe what I want to happen will actually happen? Could it be?? I definitely think Chuck is gonna get very defensive over Sarah though.
ReplyDeleteSorry, NG. You were close but still a bit off. :)
ReplyDeleteLispill, you seem to be the first to notice it. :)
ReplyDeleteOnly cuz I have been obsessing over this page all day long ... still can't get the whole thing into one consistent idea.
ReplyDeleteHehehe... looks like the Wondercon attendees are going to see the next episode a day early. So, expect tons of spoilers to spill out soon.
ReplyDeleteMagnus, the diferent languages you choose to write teaser 20, were not randomly, right???
ReplyDeleteFernando, the first I selected because you couldn't just copy and paste it in a search (plus it is a language my father speaks and reads). The second I speak. The third is not a coincidence.
ReplyDeleteUmm 21 are partial hints right? We 're supposed to find the missing parts to form coherent sentences?
ReplyDeleteAnd please for the love of all that is good don't authorize and downright spoilers from the Con people, I m off twitter just to make sure I don't get any huge spoilers before tomorrow.
21 is a short little poem. :) And no worries, I will not be authorizing any spoiler comments until the episode has aired. I know a lot of people read this site who do not want to be spoiled beyond this little teaser game.
ReplyDeleteOK! :) I have suspected that when you used the "French", that could not be coincidence!
ReplyDeleteThanks for being different and do not just "dump" the spoilers out there ... thinking beyond the obvious, it's best!
Heh that poem seems like it's implying that someone has to get over his fear of doing something so he can protect 'her' from 'him'.
ReplyDeleteFernando, thanks. I think this kind of teasing is far more productive than outright spilling episode spoilers.
ReplyDeleteTheLionKing, and now the teasers are starting to form a scene. ;)
ReplyDeleteHi Magnus,
ReplyDeleteI'm from Argentina, i've been reading ur blog this past few weeks, and i'm having a lot of fun with the teasers!
I think i tranlated the 20# clue: "Cry my love, a bridge name fear"?
tx,
Lola.
Chuck (the dove) can be coerced into killing Shaw if he appears to be a threat?
ReplyDeleteMegan
Hi Magnus,
ReplyDeleteLola again.
Its spoiler free, but you all have fun speaculating together... its nice.
ReplyDeleteSo it seems that intel and bits of eps 13 are starting to leak into the net... sadly... so if you want to remain spoiler free (or at least be surprise when watching it live), avoid surfing till tomorrow night.
I can point out the sites to avoid if you want...
best!
Lola from Argentina.
Just avoid them all. :)
ReplyDeleteToo late Magnus :( I came across something and couldn't resist it :((((.
ReplyDeleteIt's like finding chocolate cake in the fridge, there's no way you are gonna walk away from it!
Lola.
Lola, too bad. All you had to do was hold out for 24 hours. So sad that you have no self control. :)
ReplyDelete
